I thought he was going to be here for a little over a year before he left for greener pastures, I am happy to have been wrong.
“Coming off his MLS Cup victory in December, Columbus Crew star Cucho Hernandezdecided to put down roots in Central Ohio, purchasing a 2,611-square-foot home in Perry Township near Dublin for $1.16 million in February 2024. The residence includes three bedrooms and three baths and is located in the Ravello neighborhood.” https://search.app/g6JXMsC9Lk47KG1A7 Hope this is a sign he plans to stick around for a bit.
If not it’s an excellent investment. I don’t think he moves unless someone offers him a huge deal. He definitely appears to like his situation here and Nancy is helping him become more level headed and less emotional. His suspension has sparked a great run of form.
If he knew what was good for him, he'd stay. He needs to stay 2-3 more seasons. We gotta win CCL and Leagues Cup.
Who the hell would want to remt a place loke that? If you have that kinda coin, youd biuy s big place of hour own.
newly transferred high level athletes, agents talk and if you have a Blue Jacket coming to town that makes coin, there you go. Also executives that are high level earners that are in Columbus for a year or 2
You would be surprised. Columbus is home to a lot of large corporate offices that rotate executives quite frequently.
What I don’t get is why crew players seem happy to be living in Columbus, but Jacket players seem miserable and can’t wait to get out of here.
Same reason no one wants to play for the Clippers or Chargers or Jets...dysfunctional franchises with bad owners
At first I thought you meant the Columbus Clippers... I was like, those players don't have a choice, then it hit me, oh LA Clippers!
Rum and cokes. Yeesh, that was bad typing. Yeah, I didn’t think of that at the time. I blame the rum.
Not exactly true. A lot of them have kept houses here, as it's a good place to raise a family. Playing here? Winning would help that.
Cucho has been better than I ever imagined he would be and I thought he would be a star. I think we got lucky to get a player that was unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time - which is easy when you're playing for Watford that is bouncing around the Premier League and Championship season to season. I will be sad if and when he leaves but just so thrilled I got to watch him play.
I was worried about how successful he would be when it was announced. I felt like we overpaid based on the lack of personal success up to that point. However, once he stepped on the field you could see the talent was there. For whatever reason it didnt work out prior to Columbus but boy has it since. I hope he never leaves but if he does the check better have a bunch of zero's
Every time I see a new post in this thread my heart sinks a little expecting it to be news about a transfer.
