This year baybee!! I think picking up Maddox could be the last piece in the puzzle. They are as deep as anybody and Dusty Baker is the best manager in baseball.

Is Steve Bateman still in the Witness Relocation Program?

    ....HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

One of the best? Perhaps. The best? Until Dusty pulls off the big one, I won't rate him up there. He's the type of manager that kisses ass to some players and is a dick to others. While some Giants players and fans were down on Alou recently, way more were down on Dusty for not being able to get a really talented team over the hump in the recent past. Just watch this year as the Cubbies gag even with arguably the hottest pitching rotation in the majors.

I'm a Giants fan that's happier with Alou. Sure, the G's didn't get to the Series last year (thanks to a couple uncharacteristic errors from Cruz and Snow). But if they had made the Series, I'd have felt a hell of a lot more confident with Alou at the reins.

My Cincinnati Reds, 2004 National League SubCentral Division Champions, have finally redeemed themselves this season.

Nothing is more fun than a swift kick in the pants of every Cubs fan out there.

(Except for maybe a swift kick in the pants of Red Sox fans, of course.)

It's good to see the season end on a high note for once in Cincinnati. :D

ditto...it was almost like Dusty wanted us to lose the world series...

I have my complaints about Alou, sure, but I'll take him over Dusty anyday.

I think Alou is better than Dusty, but you can't blame Dusty because his team can't get a runner home from third with less than two outs.

Bartman might still be lurking in the seats at Wrigley field.

What is lurking is poor form for the cubbies, they picked the worst time for a swoon. They have a slim chance of making it as the wildcard now.
