david beckham for me. he is the better of the two players and he is younger and more well known. he may not score as many goals but he will make his teammates better and win more games and championships.

Beckham probably has a bigger impact. Both players are great, of course, but I don't care for Beckham. Blanco's coming to the league is much more exciting for me than Beckham's.

Blanco makes his teammates better. Beckham does not. Blanco had such bad luck with injuries while in Spain the world never got to see him at his best (while in Europe), but he is a legitimate world class player. Becks is not.

I kept waiting for the punch line in this joke...but it never came. You're serious, ain't ya?
I would politely point out how, through Beckham's career, the one constant is praise from his teammates as to his unselfish and intelligent play helps make them better. That was true at Man U, and it was true at Real Madrid. Did you pay any attention at all to what transpired in Madrid this past year????
As for Blanco, a common complaint about him, through his career, has been that he was the exact opposite of what you said. Selfish, interested in his own glory, and not team oriented. Now those may have been unfair complaints, or he has changed with age, and I agree that in Chicago he has been everything you could ask for. But to claim that Beckham has shown anything this year other than improving his teammates is ludicrously ridiculous [or ridiculously ludicrous :D ], even when he was pathetically out there playing with that injury.

Too soon to say that. If Beckham plays contra Blanco, and Galaxy nip that playoff spot, will be hard to claim it is Blanco who best succeeds at making his team better.

He made Zizou, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, etc. better? They went from Galacticos to shit after he arrived. They won two trophies in his 5 year stay at the club.

Really, Fire fans mocking Schelotto? Imagine that. You just go ahead and love your flopper, we will love ours. Yours will stop getting calls soon enough.
