why do you have two threads with the same question? isn't one enough to know it will be ochoa?

Memo Ochoa is clearly the most aspiring GK for the MNT.. Simply because of the amount of press he receives and because of the club he plays for. His actions will get more coverage than any other gk, even if other goal tenders are having a better campaign. Now im not denying Ochoas talent, he has proven himself allready. I still think that Memo playing in America will give him that extra edge to be considered the future MNT keeper. There are even people that believe he should allready be the fitrst choice keeper !!!

This should be the main focus with PacoMemo.............not the club he plays for. Other than a few stints with Rios, when was the last time America had NT material at the keeper position?

Now that you mention that i do remember a favorite of mine
for many years ADRIAN CHAVEZ ! too bad he was at his best
right when we were banned from the WC in 1990, remember
    the cachirules incident ?

He had great size, agility and played his entire Box very well,
not only one of the best keepers for america that i can remember
but for the national team as well.
the main focus has to be playing the BOX for whoever we have
as a keeper, wether itd be oswaldo or memo ochoa, they have
size, they have made great saves over and over but are still
lacking that presence, taht leadership to play their entire box.

one that is not mentioned here but has been doing a consisten
job in our local tournament is Corona from tecos.

Being in the national team as the first choice keeper is ludicrous, however, he should be given at least some playing time or at least being called up to the national team!

    WHOA!!

I never realized that till you posted that!

Ochoa is really good around the box and all over the goal man...you can't go with anyone else on that one.

Any thoughts on the keeper for Monterrey? I think his name is Cristian Martinez is that right??

He seems pretty strong in the box IMO....not better than Ochoa but enough for a call up...

yeah and then he does stuff like the goal against necaxa where he hit the attacker with the ball and they scored a goal..or the shot by kikin against pumas in the final game..
