Can Saints win their fifth in a row at Selhurst Park? I certainly hope so.

Here is the Saints' lineup for today's match:

    Miller
    Baird-Claus-Kenton-Brennen
    Dyer-Wright-Potter-Surman
    Rasiak-Fuller

Subs: Jones, Ostlund, Blackstock, Prutton, Smith (GK)

Saints with a kick freekick which almost caught the Palace GK out of place on the 3' minute.

Saints with a good attack which was barely broken up by ex-Saint Fitz Hall on the 11' minute. So far Saints are the stronger team so far this match.

Fitz Hall just misses by inches of scoring on his former club. Still 0-0 after the 15' minute.

Dyer with a quick break on Palace's goal which was nicely saved by Kiraly. Fuller was then chopped down shortly thereafter and rolls around the ground "Real" style according to the Palace commentators. :)

Miller now with an excellent save on AJ. The follow up shot was cleared by Kenton. Then Miller with an even better double save on Popovic and Freedman. This is really end-to-end stuff.

Dyer with a terrific run forcing Kiraly into a flying save. An excellent match so far for Saints and Dyer, but still 0-0 after about 25' minutes.

Awful decision by ref to book Baird for kicking the ball away on the 29' minute. Baird saw an injured Palace player, but ref blew for a freekick at the same time and books Baird as a result. Poor decision, really. :(

Fuller makes a real hash of things on that one!!! With a rather open net, he places the ball into the upper reaches of the stand!!!

Surman with a flying header which he puts wide of the net for Saints on the 38' minute.

AJ with another dive in the box against Kenton, but ref thankfully doesn't buy it.

Well that is HT. Saints are dominating this match completely, but we really should be up by at least two goals. Alas, it is still 0-0. Let's hope for more excellent play from Saints and hopefully a goal or two. COYR

Dyer with another one-on-one opportunity but again he shows his inexperience and does poorly with the shot. Hopefully next season he will put a couple of these excellent chances away.

Surman with another excellent chance to put the ball in the net, but again it is wide of the net. We are really making a lot of chances but no one is converting them.

Freedman goes round Miller and is then impeded but somehow the ref didn't give a card and Freedman didn't score. If he did, it would definitely have been against the run of play.

AJ scores with his only real chance of the match. Competely against the run of play!!! 1-0 Palace on the 62' minute.

This is definitely typical of the Saints this year. We play extremely well, even dominating in fact, but we don't capitalize on our chances and we get punished by the opposing team on one of their only chances of the match.

GGGGOOOOAAAALLLL!!!!! 1-1 for Fuller off of a freekick.

It's about time we convert one of our many chances. Saints are level on the 69' minute.

Saints are really starting to fade now. Since that second Palace goal Saints have completely come undone. If we can't level this match it will be a complete waste of an excellent performance. Typical.

    Well that's FT. 2-1 Palace.

Saints really have themselves to blame for this one. Saints completely dominated this match up until the second Palace goal but then wilted as a result of the heat and disappointment. We really should have converted the majority of those chances, but our youth just couldn't. Hopefully next year will be completely different. Dominate play and convert our chances. If that happens we will certainly be towards the top of the table.

The loss was frustrating. But peak at the table. Saints are more or less mid-table. Burley's changes are slowly kicking into gear. Let's hope they can hit the ground running next year!
