Ante Rebic had potential. His height, strength and even technique promised him nice future. His temperament is not suitable in football. He reminds me on Marko Livaja footballer. Some players think that success arrives instantly...in the last 2,3 years I have seen Rebic with Mandzukic among two attackers in Croatian team. On the other hand, I thought that Kalinic will vanish, since he has played in Ukraine. The league is not attractive. After he came in Fiorentina, he started to accept Serie A tactical approach and he progressed. In his youth period, I think that Rebic was better than Kalinic. I have never seen Bagadur in one UEFA or Serie A game. So I can't say a lot about him. Walter Mazzarri also doesn't like to use younger players. Anyway, Croatia missed this player. Jeremy Toljan - USA, Croatia, Germany have the right to place him in the team. His surname Toljan is obviously Croatian. His mother is Croatian. He has dual citizenship. According to some sources, his father passed away. http://www.transfermarkt.de/jeremy-toljan/profil/spieler/129674 https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Toljan "Toljan wurde als Sohn einer kroatischen Mutter und eines bereits verstorbenen afroamerikanischen Vaters in Stuttgart geboren." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Toljan Good youth club Stuttgart. This could be a nice signal. http://www.sport1.de/transfermarkt/2016/08/jeremy-toljan-vo-1899-hoffenheim-bei-topklubs-begehrt "Unter anderem soll PSG Interesse am Hoffenheimer haben. Die guten Leistungen haben Toljan bei etlichen Klubs auf den Zettel gespült. So soll der 22-Jährige laut Gazzetto dello Sport bei Paris Saint Germain, Juventus Turin sowie dem SSC Neapel Interesse geweckt haben. Auch Borussia Mönchengladbach, Schalke 04 und die PSV Eindhoven werden von der Zeitung genannt. Der Hamburger SV, der vor Monaten als Interessent galt, ist hingegen kein Thema." Strong clubs wanted him. Left back position, just what Croatia seeks more than 15 years.

Dario Maresic, born in Graz, Austria, holds Croatian citizenship. He scored for Fenerbahce against Sturm Graz. https://www.transfermarkt.com/dario-maresic/profil/spieler/307807 For sure, no one will react and invite this player to play for Croatia NT, just like with Pulisic, Toljan...and many other players from earlier periods like Teddy Lucic. Jason Culina, Mark Viduka, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Rukavina...

Croatian player of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jozo Simunovic refused to participate in Bosnia and Herzegovina national team matches. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport...celtic-defender-jozo-simunovic-snubs-12195842 https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2369170/celtic-jozo-simunovic-refuse-bosnia-croatia/ The situation for Croatian footballers from Bosnia and Herzegovina seemed more comfortable since Robert Prosinecki became Bosnian selector. Very strange. Probably he wouldn't be accepted well there among their fans. Bosnia and Herzegovina national team is created with Bosnian Muslims (majority), in rare occasion (Bosnian Serbs, Bosnian Croats), who don't respond with the quality demands of Serbia and Croatia national teams. So far, Bosnia and Herzegovina has these players who are Croats: Toni Sunjic, Goran Karacic, Marijan Cavar, Luka Menalo, Stjepan Loncar, Mateo Susic, Mario Vrancic. I am not sure about: Goran Zakaric, Daniel Graovac, Srdan Stanic, Marko Mihojevic, Daniel Pavlovic, Zoran Kvrzic. (Croats or Serbs) Something bad is happening over there, political crisis, religious tensions (mostly against Croatian Roman Catholics), incompetent society of religious brainwashing, lack of democratic values and many verbal tensions among key subjects of society. Hoping to see more good will for Croats who are the smallest constitutive ethnic group (not diaspora). They have 15 % of population there. For sure, this situation should be observed carefully.
We have a good one (Croatian U19 Josip Maganjic) on our primavera. Left winger, assisted on our first goal today in our 1-4 win over Juventus in the semifinal of the Viareggio Cup. Should have earned a pk, as well, but.... You know, against Juve....
He could be good, he is from Dalmatia. There is always some doubt about young players, can they evolve in senior stage? Croatia had a lot of talented teenagers who could not evolve and improve. You probably know Ricardo Bagadur, also from Fiorentina, Ante Vukusic from Pescara club, Mario Carevic, Marko Livaja (Inter, Atalanta, now somewhere in Greece). Ante Rebic should evolve in Italy, but he didn't. Eintracht Frankfurt seems weaker than Fiorentina. Italian league was always suitable for Croatian players, because of catenaccio. In contemporary period, I don't see great and talented players from Croatia in Italy, only Perisic and Kalinic who is discovered too late. Lost in Ukraine. Pasalic went in Russia, several steps back, compared with Milan, Monaco. If they were all that great, they would be in Fiorentina, clubs from Rome, Milano, Juventus, Napoli. Sampdoria and Atalanta are consistent in every season. Strinic also made step back, from Napoli to Sampdoria. Only 25 matches for Napoli in 2 years. Marko Rog will be great player, but his nature is calm, silent, northern Croatian mentality. Marcelo Brozovic is vanishing also. I am not so optimistic about this World Cup, any team which is much faster could make problems.
Croatian footballer Bruno Boban died during the match on the field. https://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_Boban https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/5895810/croatia-footballer-dies-pitch-25-collapsing/ His father died in November 2017, now he died. His brother Gabrijel Boban is also a footballer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabrijel_Boban They are distant cousins of Zvonimir Boban.
