Croatian Clubs in Europe 2020/2021 Season

    Ahead of the Europa League group stages i thought it would be a good time to start this thread.

    Champions league Qualifying

    Lokomotiva Zagreb was defeated in 2nd round by Austria Wien 1-0.
    Dinamo Zagreb beat CFR Cluj in the 2nd round on penalties, 8-7. They went on into the Champions league 3rd round and lost to Ferecvaros 2-1 in. Their loan goal here was an own goal by Myrto Uzuni.

    Europa League Qualifying.
    NK Osijek was defeated at home in the 2nd round by FC Basel 1893. With the scoreline being 2-1. Their loan goal was scored by Ante Majstorovic.
    Hajduk Split started their 2nd round of Europa qualifying by beating Renova Dzepciste(North Macedonia) 1-0. with the goal coming from Mijo Caktas. They then proceeded to loss the next game to Galatasaray. With the scoreline being 2-0.
    Lokomotiva Zagreb played their 3rd Europa league game against Malmo FF and they lost that by a scoreline of 5-0.
    HNK Rijeka entered 3rd round of Qualifying and beat Kolos Kovalivka(Ukraine) by a scoreline of 2-0. with the scorers being Jaoa Escoval and Franko Andirjasevic. Then played their qualifying round game and beat FC Copehagen 1-0. With Peter Ankersen's own goal being the difference.
    Dinamo Zagreb beat FC Flora in the qualifying round of the Europa league by a scoreline of 3-1. Scorers were Mario Gavranovic with Arijan Ademi scoring a pair of goals.

    Europa League Group Stage
    Dinamo Zagreb will face a group stage with Feyenoord Rotterdam, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsberger AC.
    Rijeka's opponents in the group stage are Real Sociedad, AZ Alkmaar and SSC Napoli.

    Tough groups for both teams.

    Dinamo Zagreb had a very successful Europa League campaign. They won 4 of their 6 matches and drew the other two games. Finishing first in group K.
    Home 0-0 verses Feyenoord; 0-0 Away to CSKA Moscow ; beating Wolfsberger AC Home and Away 1-0 and 0-3: Beating Feyenoord Away 0-2; and beating CSKA Moscow at Home 3-1.

    HNK Rijeka had one 1 win, 4 loses and 1 draw in Group F of the Europa League. They did not move onto the knockout rounds.
    Lost at Home to Real Sociedad 0-1; Lost Away to AZ Alkmaar 4-1; Lost at Home and Away to Napoli 1-2 and 2-0; drew with Real Sociedad at Home 2-2 ; and Beat AZ Alkmaar at Home 2-1

    Dinamo Zagreb ended up having a very successful year in the Europa. Beat FK Krasnodar , February 18th and 25th, in their home and away series by scorelines of 2-3 and 1-0. They then went on to play Tottenhma Hotspurs, March 11th and 18th, to whom they lost to 0-2 in London but then came back home and beat Tottenham 3-0. qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Europa League. Lost both games of the Europa Quarters finals to Villarreal by 1-0 and 2-1 scorelines.
