First and foremost. WOW! What a game. It's funny to believe in something so hard and then give up on it (me around the 89th minute) and then BAM suddenly we've got the goal.

I thought the play today was pretty good but I still think there is room for critique, so I thought I'd start this thread where people can analyze the game today.

I thought overall Bob made good selections on the lineup. He sat GOOCH who needed to be sit. He put in Bornstein and I was panicking but JB played halfway decent in the back there... I liked EDU in the middle but I think we keep seeing that two strong/holding mids just doesn't work all that well for us (for whatever reason). I think even more than our Defense our center midfield could be a back breaker in this cup.

I wanted to talk about the sub choices particularly Herc off at halftime. I thought it was VERY odd to take Gomez out at halftime.

However the choice to go with Feilhaber was great. And it's funny I remember a thread distinctivly a couple weeks ago bashing on feilhaber when I suggested maybe he should start in center mid. I don't think he SHOULD start, but he's a great option of the bench and added a lot today.

Where is HOLDEN? Weird to not see him at all this WC> Maybe he hasn't gotten over his leg injury?

OUR FREE KICKS ARE HORRIBLE. GOD IS THERE NO ONE ON THE TEAM WHO CAN GET IT ON FRAME!??!

    Buddle - not impressed...

so what do we do for the knockout phase? Who starts and who's coming off the bench?

What did you all think about D BEAS in there today? Did any of you really think he was going to get a goaL?
