That is true for many players. He would score less goals tho. This is more argument against set piece takers rather than Cristiano. Cristiano is obviously good at free kicks

Actually it's very possible to know. There is a huge gap in goals scored between Messi and Ronaldo that mostly came during Ronaldo's 3 peat run. No point in denying reality. Whereas, Messi stopped being a prolific scorer in UCL. Obviously, Ronaldo's goals are not the sole determinant in those wins but they are a massive component. And a lot of those goals are due to his finishing ability in the box and heading ability
