How about that game today? I will say our defense had some shaky moments as we always do when Silvestre or Brown play. I don't know why we re-signed Wes Brown. We should have just brought Spector in. OKAY, Ronaldo has got the moves but when he has a shot or creates an opportunity if he passes it we will get goals. Ruud was wide open today. I can't remember the last time Ronaldo scored. He gets himself free and then is shut down everytime. Am I wrong here? Let me know. I like the kid but he has a lot of experience to obtain, still.

You're right, he does have a lot of experience to obtain yet. If you hacen't noticed, he's been one of the hardest, if not the hardest working player on the pitch in recent times. He runs effortlessly, and workds extra hard to get those accurate passes in. From time to time, he manages to get inside the box by himself or get a shot off, and I say he deserves that. The boy works hard enough, let him get a few chances, hell, he dribbles, passes, shoots, all he has left to do is score more, so let him get to that. I say let Cristiano get more shots on goal!

I dont know how many times i have seen posts talking about CRon and his playing.

He is how old again? If he is still doing what he does in ten years I'll be hitting my head against my pc in frustration. But for now I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is getting better. He'll learn when to shoot, when not to shoot, when to pass, etc...and make his club and country all the better for it.

He just has to bring all his skills together.

Ronaldo was disappointing after his debut last year - until January when he found his form. I think he was alot more effective after he started to find his teammates and started spreading the ball around and did less of his showboating style. Many people speak of the parallels between Ronaldo and Bestie, but the difference between Cristiano Ronaldo and George Best is that after beating 2 or 3 defenders Bestie could still put the ball in the back of the net.

I would wait until after Ronaldo has finally been given a rest before commenting.

Yes, he needs 3 weeks off, at least. But when can we afford to give him the rest. It would seem with Fletcher in the team, we'll go back to Giggs on the left and Fletch on the right until he's back. Fletcher's pass to release Rooney was the best pass I've seen from anybody on our team this season. That being said, he still lost the ball too much and isn't a winger.

Oh god, the Fletcher supporter in you rears its ugly head... my word! The best pass? Scholes made several first time balls, chipped over defenders and bent into the right spot yesterday, albeit not to set up goals or even chances but the pass was not that great. Fletcher had little pressure on him and Rooney was in miles of space, I can make that pass, it took no genious or vision, just a simple lofted ball.

Rumours rumours rumours... no substance... should Kleberson be sold the KFC would become Kristiano Ronaldo Fan Club.

That's not really a club, more like common sense. It's like having a "Don't Shoot Yourself in the Foot with a Nail Gun" club.

Actually... having watched the game again... Fletcher was rarely on the wings in this match. He spent most of it playing in the center of the park. Keane was holding, and Fletcher and Scholes played close to him, with Scholes coming back deeper. Rooney was our LW for most of the match... Sometimes Fletcher and Keane would hold while Gary or Heinze overlapped and Scholes would play LW from time to time as well.

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo, pass the ball!!!!!

Depends on the time I have and what issues there are or what issues were raised... so if someone says Scholes was brilliant, I might watch it and look and see what happens every time he has the ball, loses the ball is around the ball or makes a run... for example someone said Heinze was losing battles against taller players I examined a couple games and disproved it (to myself)...

Usually though, once for fun, once for analysis... and on rare occasions another time for analysis and when I'm bored, and its a big win or a crushing draw/loss then a fourth time.

Well, actually I'm a college student and I played on the team the last three years and play in the indoor tournies now and alot of other things... its all about time management and lack of sleep... right now I am behind in all of my classes because Halo2 was just released so between footie and Halo I get about 3 hrs of sleep a night life is good!!!

johno I am right there with ya. I used to think Heinze's height was an issue but have changed my mind on that one. I am going to watch the Newcastle game a couple of times to get a better look at Fletcher and some others.

I also need to show my support as a loyal member of the KFC!

When Fletcher's United Club Of Fans (FUCOF) merged with the Fletch Fan Society (FFS), we hence became:

    FUCOF-FFS

We are rivals to an insidious organization called the Kleberson Fan Club (KFC).
