What a game this kid is having today, one goal from the spot on a foul on him, and brilliant play that eventually gave MU the 2-0, and another brilliant run, and assisted PS for the third.

Can you say FIFA player of the year!!

That's a classy move on Fergies part, considering the bickering he and Scolari have had.

The PK call was a dubious one on CR's part, though. Replays show that he was clearly not fouled...

    15 goals and 8 assists.

Penalty was nothing for me, a nicely taken penalty though. His assist was beautiful.

What about Neville's take down in their own box that was a sure penalty? Your formula is flawed. Unfortunately Ronaldo still feels the need to go to ground too easily... He's just alittle more carefull as to what situation to do it in.

Ah man... I don't know about him being Captain. 21 year old and hes supposed to LEAD a team. He can have all the heart in the world, but damn. I really rather see the armband on Andrade.

As mentioned in another post, it was the wish of Carlos Silva who died that Cristiano be the captain.

Ah. I see. I apologize then.

Did he say it as he was dying? Or did he say he wanted to see Cristiano with the armband prior to his passing away?

He said that he wanted CR to have the armband because of the game being played in England and due to all the crap that the english fans have been dishing out to him. This is what Scolari said on it:

Scolari explained: "On Saturday, Mr Silva asked me to make him captain as a gesture. He thought the English fans would give him a difficult time and this was a response. He is too young to be captain, but Mr Silva asked me, and now he is no longer with us."

Ronaldo definatly will be wearing the armband in the future, i definatly agree with you that he is too young now. But he does have all the qualities to make a great captain in the future.

    Great goal.

I am confident that if Ronaldo would just charge at the net more he would score an even greater amount of goals. No one can catch him especially late in the game his pace is crazy.

I think he wrapped up player of the year in England with that goal. Now he needs to do a little something in the CL and he is a shoe in for World Player of the year

GD, I agree. This kid is Just out of this world. I will predict a nom for Player of the year but knowing Fifa,he will lose out to Dingo:rolleyes:

What impressed me was his work ethic wanting to win the Game. There was a slight deflection but he Got it made and wtf, someone slapped him when he was celebrating.
