About captaincy, without doubt, it won't be Ronaldo.

As has already been discussed, it'll probably go to Andrade or Carvalho.

Probably only in the leading up to the Finland game.

Kind of stupid to have a press conference over who will be the captain for the national team. I could care less who'll be the captain, because we've built this team on the principle of being a team not captaincy or one man being a leader.

I would like to see him stick with the number 17. Although I know he will take number 7.

Why stick with the number 17? So he can make a name for him self in the 17?

Numbers aren't that important, but he should get the #7 shirt. I think he should've been given the shirt at the World Cup as a sign of a handing off of the torch, so to speak.

I like him in the 17. He started his Seleccao career in the 17 and has done fairly well in that number. Why not make that his number. I do believe it is a unique number, compared with number 7 which is worn by everyone.

    Last time I checked some wore 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14...

    Maybe I imagined that.

i hope he does get no.7 for Portugal, i'm sure Figo would rather Ronaldo have it too.

would probably inspire Ronaldo too to have his real-life hero's shirt for the national team.

he means that a lot players in profesinoal(i know thats a spelling mistake) sports, let alone soccer, wear #7 so him wearing 17 is unique and a nice changer to havin a lot of stars wear 7

CR with 2 beautiful goals today vs Oxford in his first game back for United in a man of the match performance. He was booed everytime he touched the ball but did manage to get a standing ovation from the United fans when he was subbed off.

If he manages to perform well in every game, and show that his heart is in it even, he'll win back everyone else's support at the club. Overall good performance by him. I'd like to see how he does against less casual opposition though.

What a joke. The United fans are never happy.

Rooney for instance, could score just one goal off a volley and they'd care less about his performances for the next 3 seasons.

Ronaldo had a very good preformance today. 2 goals and an assist. Also caused a good havoc with his speed. Hopefully he can contribute like this against greater opposition.

By the way, his chest pass assist and his 2nd goal were my favorite of the match. He placed that second goal so calmly and yet with so much velocity, I have never seen him do something like that before. His first goal was also beast.

Ronaldo assist: Goal scored by Ole (Wonderful shot)

    Repped & Rewarded Joelzinho....Thanx Bro:D

I'm telling you he is coming up Big. Ultra and I, I have made a deal that Ronaldo will score 20 Goals this year. he will show why he is such a great player next to Quaresma who also dazzled his display in Manchester.

    The Future is here!!!!

Is it Just me or does the AIG jersey look extra tight.

    Ronaldo looked uncomfortable playing.

Quaresma and Ronaldo on the wings. Deco in the middle. Vaz Te or someone as mobile and creative upfront. Hopefully either Manuel Fernandes or Moutinho in there as well. The dribbling is rediculous. Our Technicals skills is retarded.
