time to give the newest colombian prospect his thread.

we were able to win over a spanish youth international

according to wikipedia he has 11 appearances for Valencia's 1st team but on transfermarkt he has 3 la liga appearances and 1 copa del rey appearance, 8 appearances for Valencia's youth teams in lower divisions. I think these are good numbers for an 18 year old, 6'3 centre back.

physically he reminds me a bit of yerson mosquera

It's amazing. One of my best friends had to change the spelling of his first name legally when he became an adult because of this...

I mean at this point WC is happening but he still can get called up for the SNT?

He was called up for the friendlies against Wales U21 and Sweden. Allegedly he was the one who approached Cardenas and the Colombian Fed to play... ... so that is encouraging.
The reason he was left off the squad though was a paperwork one so I am assuming he must fill out a one-time switch form that is approved by FIFA. (The same process the Balogun guy did to join the USA due to playing for England's Youth teams.)

I am not familiar with Spain's back line situation but I assume they are loaded with talent at CB.

We are relatively deep too but as we saw last month we had to trot out Davinson and Cuesta which was not as good as I thought it could have been.

I believe if Lorenzo pushes to recruit him he can be ours. As I said in previous posts he did reach out to Colombia earlier this year and was on the Sub 20 roster initially.

Maybe he will be called into camp come March if we get some Euro friendlies and assuming he is still playing well at Valencia.

We could use a promising young CB considering how mixed our defense has been with players that were suppose to be amazing talents and not inconsistent ones.

not really where would he rather play long term

if the US offered you the SNT and Colombia offered you the sub 20. Would that make you choose the US?

i wouldn’t the other team is better and harder to get a roster spot. How many 18 year olds in the league are we cup tieing so they don’t play on other teams
