Pretty broad statement. Are you talking about young Colombians? Valderrama made a huge impact early on as did guys like Valencia, JPA and even more recently Montero. Plenty of other players have done well in the league. MLS is still trying to recruit a better crop of Intl players but go back to the same edict of getting 'older/washed out' marquee players. For the most part though, if you really have some choice, you're not going to MLS. So it may just be that the Colombians that have reached the MLS are likely short of options based on age or skill or both.

Higuita is a young prospect; those are the kind of players that nothing happen to them when they go to MLS.
Mexico have bad rep but at least Rodallega made it to the EPL Jackson to Porto and Aquivaldo to Sevilla

We do have to factor that both Mls and fmf pay better than the Colombian league. So you can see why average European teams shy away...

Thats one part of the problem, but the main one is that I dont see any development; Nothing happened with Montero or Toja, two examples that came to mind.

He is good, but I find it odd that Milán would gamble in such a young and inexperienced player. But who knows, other important team like ManU were watching him when he was 16 years old, so they' might have seen more potential in him than we do.

    Whats wrong with my statement?

But right now? No; Even mexico que muchos aca no le gusta sigue siendo mejor...

That was my statement Over a year ago
    He haven't change history....

    Im still waiting...

Once again Mexico sigue siendo mejor destination than MLS.

Si quieres decir que simplemente Mexico compra mejor que MLS, then you have a case... But that's a different argument.

MLS haven't showed me to be a good destination for Colombians....

haha, pepino anda subversivo.

Don't exaggerate. I'm only saying that i disagree that Mls isn't a good jumping point to Europe. Anyone that brags because a rumor is foolish.

Besides before the rumor I stick with what I said originally.

    @viejo

Calm down, nothing wrong with what you said. You make it sound like its a personal attack lol.

I saw the Milan rumor yesterday on twitter. Would be huge. I actually think there are a few decent young players in the MLS. But as viejo said absolutely nothing happens with them because they do not develop properly in the US. They are better off staying here. Montero is a prime example imo. Im not really fond of either the MLS or Mexico but between the two, the mexican league is in another world to the MLS.

I do agree Mexico is a better jump. But I don't necessarily dilute the mls' development program
