I think he’d also be too expensive at the quoted fee, especially with players increasingly running down their contracts. And then there is the hype effect— as somebody said, Bellingham while not actually bad, hasn’t been all that. There’s far too much of this nowadays.
They never said when did they? Rumor is they signed Stiller from Frankfurt - do they have an extra midfielder?
Toni Kroos regen 2.0 and would be the most perfect midfielder for us . Gimme Stiller,Kerkez and Isak - We’ll be dominating for a decade
Liverpool are set to rival Real Madrid and Barcelona for £60m-rated Crystal Palace and England midfielder Adam Wharton, 21. (Daily Mail - subscription required, external) A move for Chelsea's French striker Christopher Nkunku, 27, could also be part of Liverpool's summer plans. (Footmercato - in French, external) Wolves are stepping up their efforts to sign Liverpool's English midfielder Harvey Elliott, 22. (GiveMesport, external)
The solution I see is 4-5 year minimum deals, with a clause to extend on 3 or be forcibly sold on at 4 - against your will - if that didn;t happen.
Dean Huijsen to Real, done. £50m. Looks like they're spending some of the money they saved not paying Liverpool for TAA.
Bradley signs new contract - good news. https://www.si.com/soccer/liverpool-confirm-new-contract-key-defender
Trent isn’t even out the door yet and we signed a replacement and resigned Bradley. We have zero worries at right back for years to come. Great start to the window.
From what I've heard you may be right, but Wirtz's camp is pissed off with BM and BL would rather sell him to a team not in Germany. Also, BM is only offering 100m and BL was looking for more.
Great to hear about Frimpong. As for Ibou I wonder if there is any benefit in giving him an ultimatum? Sign an extension, or sort out a transfer that gets us a fair fee with the first option if he decides to come back to England. If his camp doesn't take one of those options then we look to buy his replacement this summer and threaten him with the reserves. It's a W.C. year and if he wants to play he has to be getting regular game time. I don't actually think this is viable. In a market where players are only going to have more power it's probably not a good idea to publicly ruin a guys W.C. over a contract. The smart if frustrating move is probably just to take our medicine. But it would be annoying as hell if those facists take another one. At least when we were using Southampton as our feeder club they were getting transfer fees.
We could offer Ibou a great contract but one which includes a Real Madrid buyout clause in it. But the bottom line is the player has the final say , sign a new deal ,ask for transfer or run it down to nothing.
we could give him the bag, get a 2 year extension and just sell him next year to PSG or RM with a couple of years on his contract. Or if he's pulling a Trent and won't work with us is just let him train with the U21 for the season. It will make it more difficult for him getting into the France WC squad and who wants someone in the team that doesn't want to be there.
