FSW shows that circket is one of the sports it covers when it does those promos but i have yet to see any of it. will FSW be showing any of the tests going on in india, or how about (and more importantly) any of the games in australia since the cricket season just started- the ING Cup, or Purra cup. thanks.

Got to watch some of the India test matches a few weeks ago when I was in Delhi on TV. It was actually really interesting! Wouldn't mind seeing it here in the states.

The only cricket I have ever seen on FSW was over the summer when there was little European soccer action going on. If I recall correctly, none of the matches were recent, most being several years old.

Actually, those matches were currently being played as we watched them. But FSW was showing the early innings of those matches, which had in fact started in 1994 or therabouts. No word yet on whether they've finished.

    Re: Re: Cricket?

it seemed like they were early 90's or 80's matches of england on some sort of tour in the carribean. the funny thing was they showed it for only a half hour, trying to condense it all.

still hoping for some sort of highlights.

on another note, deedougie- the aussies, and kiwis are their playing a 3 team tourny currently.

FSW doesn't support cricket or European rugby very well. Its time for a change.

LOL!! Actually I love cricket but I guess matches
that run 7 hours a day for 5 days would be a
tough sell in the US ! FSW Canada appears to show
    some one-day games...

i know its a bit far-fetched to think they'd show a full ODI, but how about some sort of condensed version? or even just highlights? FSW Producer, you here?

I wouldn't mind seeing that. I watched cricket from the World Cup before last in an Indian theater on Devon Avenue in Chicago. Great time. $20 admission and a buffet that you could graze from all day. And a commentator (speaking English) who annoyed most of the fans even more than Jack Edwards annoys the typical bigsoccer poster.

Not sure when they would do it, though.

Most cricket matches shown in cable tend to be condensed.

If you want a full match, you would have to go through PPV.

    Not true.

Zee TV USA airs quite a bit of live cricket, picking up the feeds from Singapore-based ESPN India/Star Sports India.

Dish is pretty big into buying the rights to whole tours and selling them on PPV, thusly even denying one the chance to watch them on DirecTV. I imagine they price FSW out of competing for those properties.

According to my program guide, FSW will be airing
    six-a-side cricket on Sunday 12/14 at 4am & 4pm ET.....might be worth checking out!

    update-

12.30 at 4pm to 5pm est & 12.31 at 5pm to 7pm. no idea what so ever it might be, just lists it as cricket highlights.

last time it had cricket for only a half hour, it had random plays from a england w.indies test for the early 90's. lol, it was actually pretty dreadful to watch, especially since it hd no real set up to it, it just seemed like a 1/2 hr of the game.

that being said, one can hope that maybe it will be highlights of the recent tests going on- Austalia-India, Pak-NZ, SA-WIndies.

And here I was thinking Mike Atherton and Jack Russell had come out of retirment.

What's six-a-side cricket look like? What are the (other) rule changes?
