i'm somewhat new to mls, and it looks to me like columbus need to win all their games to have a chance at the postseason. but there are 4 out of 5 teams in the west already having clinched spots. does this mean that there are 4 from the east as well? and if so, i think the columbus crew can definitely get there. aren't they only a couple points back from the 4th placer?
yes, 4 out of five teams from each conference make the playoffs. columbus is only two point behind new england for the last playoff spot. tonight is as big a game as we've had all year.
