So they scrimmaged each other this afternoon over at Ohio State.

I wasn't able to make it out b/c some stupid petty stuff called 'work' got in the way.

Anyone happen to make it out or anyone get a report on how it went?

well i knew something was going on today but i thought it was at obetz.

low and behold work kept me from going and i am glad it did b/c...

on the news <abc> i saw footage while they interviewed the team and it was at ohio state.

i would have gone to obetz for nothing.

Final score was 2-1, McBride putting in the winning PK past some goalkeeper from OSU. It could have been Ray Burse Jr. If it wasn't him, he's not on the OSU roster @ ohiostatebuckeyes.com Supposedly there was a handball, but I didn't see anything.

Halftime score was 1-1, ritch with the Crew goal, kirvorski with theirs.

Keller played the first half for USA, Walker the second. Busch played our first half.

Simon Elliott said he was ok relating to his knock he got while playing for NZ.

Coach Murphy gave his cell number to some college-aged striker (maybe a recent graduate??) regarding a possible look-see on Monday, but i'm not gonna hold my breath.

Was this advertised somewhere or did little birdies tell you about it?

It sure would have been nice to know.

it wasn't announced and supposedly all "national team practices" are closed...

but like most of them, if you find out when/where and show up they wont kick ya out.

The pictures on www.ussoccer.com from Monday show the United States training at OSU instead of Obetz. I have no clue why.................

Andrulis dosen't want his players to see what a good HC does in practice.

i know when the womens team comes here they practice at ohio state...

the men used to practice at obetz. i figured a scrimmage would be held at obetz.

i guess i should stop "figuring" next time.

    That's good to hear.
    How's his pride?
(actually, if I remember correctly, Elliot didn't play in the Vanuatu game)

At this point, the posted OSU roster is about useless. Who is there and who is not is pretty much a wild guess.

I'd wonder though why they'd use an outside invitee as the keeper when Jordan is around gathering dust and the roster indicates that we're still storing Baumstark.

Foos, you missed an opportunity to somehow work Eric Denton into the comment. Shame on you!

I can't blame the Bruce for not wanting to train down at Obetz. A coach like that has to have a little superstition in him. It wouldn't surprise me if he thought that if Cletus can go down on the turf, so can anyone else.
