Playoffs? We're not going to the playoffs. Who said anything about the playoffs?

No DC's stat was that they hadn't won in Crew Stadium

SJ had NEVER won in Columbus. Ever.

I ****ing hate Greg Andrulis and anything and anyone who's related to him.

"Well, our guys had a chance to step up tonight with some of key players missing and they just didn't perform. We had chances tonight but at the end of the day the players get paid to win.

Well, then they haven't won since then, well, that's until tonight..

Also, for my Greg-haters brethren, I just called a buddy who was by the tunnel, and you could hear the "Sack Andrulis" chants loud and clear.

Oh and after tonight it looks like we'll be eight and 10 points behind in the race for the playoffs, if anyone's even still counting.

Same old result, but we certainly looked better than last week. If you recall, DC spent the last 10-15 minutes just passing the ball around laughing at us. Tonight, however, we came pretty darn close to getting an equalizer, thanks to some great crosses from Rodriguez, not to mention that possible PK call on Rodriguez. At least we looked alive and interested in the last 10 minutes.

Too bad we have to count on Schulte to get us through 90 minutes. It'll never happen with him in there.

That was one of the more painful losses in Crew Stadium. In front of a massive crowd, if I recall correctly (thanks to a 9/11 game cancellation). We were totally outplayed, and never looked close.

No, I knew that DC hadn't won in CCS, but that's a fairly long time now. And during tonight's game they showed highlights from a SJ win at the horseshoe, in 96, I think.

And I was at the playoff game in 01. Sucked.

Well, apparently I was wrong. My bad. I'm just glad I don't have to make the 2 and a half hour drive back home tonight.

What are you talking about? Merz has ripped Andrulis and the FO all year.

Oh, and be glad you didn't go. It sucked.

For anybody who was there, how did the energy of the team seem? On TV they didn't look as listless and deadender, especially in the first half. This looked something like a more ordinary loss than a complete train wreck. Not that it matters.

You're absolutely right, Merz wasn't the guy who claimed that Andrulis was such a great guy...
Hell, I probably don't know what I'm talking about, since I don't get the Dispatch and hardly ever read it. I guess I was just using Merz as the only person I could think of that doesn't call for Greg's resignation/firing.

And I'm never happy about not going to CCS. Like I've said before, I was literally shaking today, but again, I needed the weekend off from traveling. Those of us who live hours a way from CCS, will understand where I'm coming from.

Looking forward to your write-up on the match. :)

Oops. Already been covered, but here goes. The announcers goofed it on the radio.

Excpet in the 2001 playoffs when Greg muzzled Jeff and Pelusa by playing a 3-6-1.

No REGULAR SEASON wins at CCS, until tonight.

Merz is awful. Someone give me an example of him ripping Andrulis. The only time he comes close is in the Crew Review. He always starts by blaming it all on our injury situation.

Listen, I meant regular season. Move on.
I do believe the stat they showed before the match was 0-11-0. Was that incorrect?

As for facts, does anyone know the actual score for the RSL vs Chivas match? My feed says 2-0 Chivas, Mls main page says 1-0 RSL, and the matchtrachtracker says 1-1. That's confusing.

How on earth do I find myself coming back week after week...

    Can't say I blame those that haven't.

We have 14 points in 16 matches. This is beyond pathetic..

You have a complex with me, don't ya? Everytime I say something you think I'm after ya...

    I'm not :D

No, no, I'd only have that complex if I was Peter.

    :D

Three Eastern Conference teams won today. This Crew season continues to have less of a chance for a playoff berth(yes, I said playoffs in our Crew forums) with each growing week. This has gotten more painful than I ever could have imagined. We need to be put out of our misery, and soon. Very soon.

Edit: I feel a rant coming on, but I'm going to sedate myself and try to shift my focus to the RSL/Chivas match.

Not only did we not win since 96 we never even got a single draw, we were O-11-0 since the win in 96.

Um, we're 10 points out of a playoff spot, sure we're 8 points out of 5th place, but what good is 5th place? We're 10 & 11 out of the playoffs now with the KC and Metro wins.

Right now I think Chivas is giving us a clinic on how to score.

We were quite depressed on our own, thank you very much.
