It stinks to know that my thought process with the team has gone from will we win the MLS Cup again this year to the present day will we not be the disgrace of MLS.

As opposed to the previous 80 where they looked like..

    I swear... { a lot}
DC still sux but we always seem to play down to the opponent
but they got Davies and a nose for goal.
The disaster on that pitch aint about managing, it's about COACHING!

When does the Zips' season start so we can watch some quality footy instead of these hayseeds?

    j/k.. I know it's months away.

I don't know. We were a Jed Zaynor clearance and last-ditch tackle away from bagging 2.

    Am I grabbing at straws?

Game was lost on defense. In away games you play for the point.

RW has absolutely no idea how to get the most talent out of what he has, we arent the team we were last year but we can be a hell of a lot better than what we were tonight if we had the correct guys in the correct positions. why why why is Ekpo starting at attacking mid?! he can NOT play there at all, Gaven needs to be running the play through the center of the park for us to have any success this year

Man I can't watch this kind of footy 30 + more times. I would rather watch my local HS team workout.

As bad as we played down the stretch last season, right now that is looking pretty good comparatively...

why was our dp playing? oh because he scores goals? of course. can't even be trusted to take a penalty. useless waste of space.

5/10 for team performance. I will ruminate this over night.

And Robbie played an excellant game.

Ekpo right foot limits himself in the middle.

Dax and Davies were outstanding additions for DC.

    Crew could have gotten Dax.

I am not sold on Mendoza at all.

Did Renteria not sign a jersey for Bob's kids or something?

Who replaced all those proven winners with these shittty players? Whomever it was should lose their job.

We used to have a team that had won championships with other teams as well as Columbus. Now we have cast offs and former USL players.

The Crew may have lost, but at least we held on to that third substitution.

    When our crew tryouts??

I know how to pass and trap and run off the ball and check to the ball and communicate and play positions.

These fundamentals seemed to be lacking.

You mean the guy that was hurt and hasn't been practicing - and was probable? That guy?
He was about 200 times better than Dante. Well done Dunc.

He was on the bench. I assume if Bob has him on the bench, he's fit to play. Just a hunch.

We sucked as a team tonight. Our defense had some gaffes, midfield was running into each other, and our attack was none too dangerous. I remember multiple instances where someone had the option to play a square ball to an open teammate or go backwards and we seemed to go backwards every time. I can't even really say we had "our moments" in this game.

We did improve some when Heinemann and Rogers came on. Both were active and created chances. I think a healthy Andy Iro and Emilio Renteria would have made a signficant difference. DC is much better than last year, but if we play like this in other games, we'll see similar results.

I'm wondering if my Matchday subscription is not money well spent. Is it too late to get my money back?
