Eight people standing around the 18 with two forwards up front is not a posession formation. And it also helps if you win the ball someplace other than your own third. Of course you'd have to have someone actually TRYING to win the ball in the middle instead of just backing up to our own box. The way we play the only conceivable option is to counter. And we stink at it. This team has simply given up now. You don't let a team get away with playing keepaway for 30 passes without knocking someone down. Gutless.
