Yep. One one person is allowed to start match threads here, and we all know who it is.

 

What the shit? If I was the dude that started the other thread I'd be pissed. He was genuinely pumped for this matchup and wanted to talk to the internet about it so much that he started the conversation a week early. And now it's just gone because he isn't a part of the cool kids club? Bullshit.

I almost started a thread last night but thought better of it because, after more than ten-f*cking-years I'm not sure if I have the cred around here to start a conversation. Y'all bitch about hang saying that it's absurd that people who post here talk shit about Facebook, and well, you know what, he's right: at least there's no blatant elitist gatekeeping on Facebook.

Here's an easy solution: If there's already a match thread that was started by someone who may no know the protocol of waiting until one of the Anointed gets around to creating one, just don't create a second one.

My gripe isn't necessarily with your thread, which was started with obviously stated good intentions. But this isn't the first time that something like this has happened and it won't be the last.

I stand by my criticism of the mods decision making skills.

 

And if the problem was due to lack of poll, it should be easy enough to merge the threads. IMO, a thread should only be closed because it was "old" (prematch, whatever) or there's too much bickering/fighting/etc.
