Lost in the suffle of Nat game and Expansion, the Crew has a game this weekend. So what's it going to be? What I think the lineup will be: -------------Busch--------------- Oughton-----Fraser-----Marshall --------Elliott----Paule----------- Hejduk------Martino-----Denton ----Cunningham--Buddle---------
New England will be on their third game in 7 days. I'll definately be watching them tonight to see how they are playing.
We seem to have trouble dealing with teams that have heavy schedules... for that reason alone I'll say 1-1... then again, Elliot will combine with Marshall for a rookie hat-trick and put him in the front for ROTY.
since ill be at the match, it will be Crew 4:0 Revs Cunningham 19' Buddle 24' Cunningham 65' Oughton 82'
I hate all New England teams. F*** The Revs. I won't be at the match, and home matches that I skip usually tend to favor the Crew. TWELLMAN JUST GOT A RED!
Noonan played the first half but was then replaced in favor of Baker. No one knows why, but the offense really picked up after that.
When Taylor got the red card at first I was shaking my head thinking it would give Chicago fans some pleasure. Then I remembered that Chicago is an absolute crap team this year and they would not come back no matter what, and that Taylor was missing Saturday's game. I laughed heartily.
Wow same thought I had! Good show. Revs are going to have to bunker as the Crew are due to bust a game wide open! S%&*cago is going to be fun to play next Tuesday for once we are the better team and the lads seem inspired to keep it that way when they play them. -------------Busch--------------- Oughton-----Fraser-----Marshall --------Elliott----Paule----------- Hejduk------Martino-----Denton(Wingart that's my wish) ----Cunningham--Buddle--------- Crew 3-1 Cunningham, Buddle and Marshall pops the cherry. GO CREW!!
No Twellman is a very good thing. Noonan in a funk may even be better. Busch Hejduk Fraser Marshall Paul Elliot Wingert Martino Denton Cunningham Buddle If we continue to play with the poise that we've seen the last couple of games then the Crew should walk away with it. Finding those secondary runs through the midfield will be very important to breaking down the Revs backline. Chicago had real trouble with that. The Revs were sitting with 6 behind the ball and Chicago couldn't force there way through. They didn't do a good job of using the width or switching the point of attack. Both of these things the Crew have done well recently. Z
We'll just put our smell hound Duncan Oughton on him, have him wear him down for a good 80 minutes or so. Those tender, P40 ankles won't be the same after the match. Personally, I see a frustratingly boring first half followed by a somewhat more interesting second half. A low scoring affair. The most important key to the game will be Cunningham and Buddle finishing their chances. They probably won't get many.
Now we know you are lying. Chicago fans don't speak in complete sentances. If this is like last time the Revs played the Crew, Dempsey will run around really fast and then lose the ball and lay on the ground and look at the ref for some help. That doesn't concern me too much. And truly, they've struggled a bit to finish their chances in the past few weeks. One could hope a breakout game could be in the cards, and this isn't a season long problem.
Buddle will saddle up this week, and Cunningham hopefully won't be checking out booty in the satnds this week. Twellman out, the Crew are going to ride the glory wagon to a 3-1 victory, give them some of their own medicine.
