I was watching the cover on one of the subwoofers in front of the Nordecke vibrate on Wednesday. They have those things cranked up to 11.
When the place first opened, you couldn't hear yourself think over the EDM volume. Everybody was complaining about it. After a few games they got the message and turned it down a bit. It was still too loud but tolerable, and it was at least possible to carry on.something of a conversation if you yelled loud enough. But it seems like someone has decided to crank the volume back up. Stupid, but I think emblematic of the management caring less and less about.what the fans want. They run things to suit themselves.
I've attended exactly one game at the new(ish) stadium, with my brother who is a sound engineer. His first comment was "who is in charge of the sound levels here?" It was so loud that the speakers were cracking. I can't imagine anyone actually enjoys that environment.
The new east upper deck club is coming along very slowly. Like a crawling pace. There is one column foundation in the middle of the player parking lot. That’s it. They started that early in the season so it must be on hold for some reason.
Lower.com is out as the stadium naming sponsor: https://www.columbuscrew.com/news/c...-as-stadium-naming-rights-agreement-concludes
At the rate the entire original everything and everyone is disappearing, maybe the thing to do is just bulldoze the building, fire everyone, cut all the players and move back to HCS Its the dawn of a whole new era for the Crew, and I'm not all that optimistic.
Dont think so. Probably a good deal for both sides. Lower.com might be a little mad that everyone shortened the name of stadium to the LDC and reporters often wrote it as Lower . Com or Lower dot com in their social media posts due to link embedding
Yep. I can attest. I’m sure they were good as a stadium sponsor, I’m sure they paid the Haslams. Not a good or nice company. As an aside, I started working for them around the time that they announced the stadium sponsorship, and a pretty high up gentleman who was speaking to me was boasting about how much money the company was making and how fast they were growing. “We just got our name on the side of a new stadium…how many companies can say that?!” I just thought it was tone deaf but maybe it’s just me
They had a predator drone on display outside St. Johns on Saturday night. I was surprised at how big it was. I am indifferent as to the name of the stadium and usually end up calling it Crew Stadium regardless.
