Since the elite level of the Crew's program is somewhat new to most of us fans, I thought people might be interesting in seeing what's going on.

Wasn't Trapp in Bradenton for awhile? Looks like a good start for the Crew with a pretty impressive group of players.

It's pretty cool how the kids will be able to access Crew Stadium for some training as well. Also this hopefully will turn into a great asset for the top team in that the organization can sign talented players form within instead of gambling on the college draft.

I was wondering if this was the same Eric Nichols who once played for the Xoggz--it is the same guy as it turns out. I actually have a USISL jersey of his from the Indiana Blast, as I used to go out there and photograph some of their games....

Has any other Crew player manage to tally a hat-trick?

Does anyone else think the Crew should have academy teams for like u-14 or younger? It would makes sense I would think to have them in the system from a young age. Maybe this is the idea for the future since the academy is so new.

Dante scored a hat trick at a game I was at, prior to my season tickets...

I have it on good authority that William Phiri is actually...Little Billy. He escaped us at 10 as the Crew were unable to come to personal terms with him, (20 dollar a week allowance and an unlimited supply of capri sun[cheap HSG bastards]) but he's resurfaced sporting a more mature name.

We wouldn't have missed the playoffs the last 3 years if we'd signed Billy back in the day.

I don't remember any hat tricks by current Crew players. Once upon a time we had real, actual scorers who would put up a hat trick now and then. I think McBride had 1 or two. Stern had several, Cunningham had a couple. Even Jamal Sutton in reserve matches could put the ball in the net.

Didn't Ross Paule have a hat trick back in 2004?

That was not a reserve match, but a pre-season match, and the only hat-trick that day by Jamal was the proximity of three balls simultaneously reaching the goal line.

Might as well add that Cunningham tricked Nurnburg. We might have had some in Open Cup play.
