    Goalkeeper of the Year:

    Cannon, Rimando and Howard.

Hell, since apparently it's "same old same old" why don't they just give it to Meola?

Busch turned around a putrid defense, tied for lowest GAA in the league and has been a major factor for a revived Crew.

Bloody Howard and Rimando are the ONLY TWO GUYS IN THE WHOLE FREAKIN LEAGUE WHO COULDN'T AT LEAST GET THEIR SIDE INTO THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

    HELLO?

    Manager of the Year:

    Nichol, Jeffries, Fatso

    Inconceivable.

Andrulis revamped the style of play, injected abunch of kids and turned a lousy season around in it's tracks.

WTF did Fatso do? Send Ruiz out there and send for Donuts and Pizza?

You can make a case for Nichol, although hismajor accomplishment wasnot being Clavijo, inheriting a truckload of talent and making sure Twellman made it to the Stadium.

    Jeffries? Please.

Did at least get a mention for Rookie of the Year, although he won't get it:

    Gray, Davis, Martino

Busch not even getting nominated is an outrage. An absolute insult to him and to the Crew. Ridiculous.

It's a shocker that Busch wasn't nominated for keeper of the year. I seriously wonder if these people who make the decisions even watch the games.
But Bill, why do you think Martino won't win ROY, I can't see either of the other two beating him out for it.

I guess I'm just being negative. He clearly deserves it, so this being MLS he probably won't get it.

    Just my bad attitude.

Should have clarified that - I was still talking about the Keeper of the Year.

(Although I think A League experience disqualifying you from the Rookie award is dumb. Does baseball disqualify you from ROY if you play Triple A ball? Just stupid.)

I can't understand leaving Busch out either. Rimando and Howard? These guys suck by comparison.

I'll give them the coach of the year nominees though. Andrulis may have cleaned up a huge mess, but it was a huge mess of his own making. The team did finish under .500 and blew a golden chance to win the division.

I wonder when the nominees were selected. I wouldn't have put Andrulis up for consideration before the San Jose series. Though if the Crew win the Cup, it'll look kind of odd not having him as a finalist.

I, too, believe that Busch not even getting a nomination is ridiculous. If he has played enough minutes to qualify for MLS's statistical "awards" then surely his amount of time can't be held against him, can it? Other than that, though, I can't think of any other reason Busch didn't get nominated.

That is bull sh!t. Busch is the reason we MADE the playoffs. His excellent keeping helped turn around our defense. With him, our back line is confident and un-freaken-stoppable!!!

If we wouldn't have had a world-class keeper like Presthus starting for the first half of the season, Busch would have eclipsed Rimando's 131 saves.

They tote how Rimando had 7 clean sheets. WTF happened to Busch?!? He had 5 clean sheets in half as many games as Rimando!!!! Hell, he even has 7 including playoff stats in 16 games!!!!!!!!!!!!
