I am guessing they have only opened up half the section to keep it compact. Then, if that sells out, they will release the top half of the section for sale. EDIT: Or maybe open the front half of Section 103. Looking at the earlier post, I wonder if they sold all of 104, or just the front half.
I am beyond pumped for this game, already made two different two sticks for the occasion and got a third cooking. Gonna be down with my buddy in his big old truck. Do we know where Crew fans will be tailgating prior to this game or are we taking over a local bar? There look to be a couple on Calhoun street nearby.
Already have a parking pass for Calhoun PARKING GARAGE AND TWO TICKETS IN SECTION 104. GOT AN EMAIL from Crew rep saying Crew will have tickets available for sale starting tomorrow June sixth for open cup game in Cincinnati.
Hey, give the FO a break. They've been busy tabulating votes from Saturday night for the Acura Man of the Match .
We had a call with the Cincinnati FO today - pretty much the same boring call that happens before almost every away game that will have more than 15-20 Crew fans sitting in the same spot. Security, flag policies, who to contact for what, where to park, what gate to use, etc. Their ticketing department opened up 104 instead of 102 through the ticket link, which I brought to their attention and it looks like the error has been fixed. From what I can tell, we're currently at somewhere around 788 people in our sections (101 and 102, officially), all without the Crew FO sending an official link to their e-mail list. As was mentioned previously in this thread, an e-mail went out today that said the ticket link would be coming directly from the Crew FO at some point tomorrow, so that approximate number of 788 should be trending upwards sooner rather than later. From what was said on the call, I would guess that section 103 will be opened for Crew fans in the next day or two. I'm waiting on confirmation from the Cincinnati FO that everyone in 104 has been moved to the correct section of 102. After they confirm, I'm going to put together a PDF to send out through the normal social media channels that will have all the policies / details / matchday specifics. I'll make sure to post that here once I have it completed. Should be around midmorning tomorrow. May the light of Lord Guillermo, Andres Mendoza, and Gangster Crew Baby shine upon you all; now and forever more.
It's certainly possible. I can't even wrap my brain around these numbers right now, man. It's blowing my mind.
I don't have anyone available or interested to go with me and my wife's being all weird about me driving 3 hours by myself. I don't know why but I feel like this specific game will have some kind of historical relevance to both clubs going forward and that I need to be present for it. It's not like the rivalries real yet, but I feel like I'm being drawn toward it. I'm going to have to con my wife into this being my father's day present.
Well if you gotta go solo at least once you get there you'll have 400 of your closest friends there to keep you company! : )
FC CincinnatiVerified account @fccincinnati 6h6 hours ago Well that went quick: The Bailey is now officially sold out for our #USOC2017 match against @ColumbusCrewSC on 6/14! #RiseTogether
What is the Bailey? Did they name their supporter's section after every third person's cocker spaniel?
Very odd that you get a mostly different selection of seats if you look for Crew fan seats via Cincy or via the Crew. You'd think it would either be the same or completely different, but it's somewhere inbetween. I saw one row where you could get a group of 4 via one method, but only 2 of the them were available via the other method. Very curious.
If I had to guess, it's a reference to castle architecture. A bailey is basically a courtyard within castle walls. It has a European flavor, and we all know you can't be legit in American sawker without having European flavor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_castle#Bailey
Rally Bus leaving Crew Stadium is Confirmed!(enough people going)...19 seats left on the bus..heres a link http://rallybus.net/HellIsReal-Trip/trips/Fairgrounds--Columbus-OH/1060644
I am getting more and more annoyed that I simply cannot find a way to make it work to get to this game midweek.
Well, there is that castle in Cincinnati that a guy basically built by himself, so they've got that connection.
As detailed in the matchday details link above, your ticket will have a section/row/seat on it, but you're in the Crew section and that's all that really matters.
