Edwards, Jr., M.D., a sports medicine specialist with Ohio Riverside Sports Medicine at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, will serve as medical director during six Women's World Cup games, including one of the U.S.'s opening-round games, to be played at Columbus Crew Stadium September 20, 24 and 28. The defending champion Americans will play on September 28. As a team physician for the Columbus Crew and professional, high school and youth teams, Dr. Edwards is a well-known figure on the sidelines.
