What I do with my panties is my own damn business. The issue is not "Why haven't you clowns changed the tagline yet" but rather "Why aren't you guys stepping up to the plate here?" I really rather thought that a Mod or three might, for example, establish a process, perhaps ask for suggestions or even offer a few themselves, have a vote, SOMETHING. I don't criticize you guys, and I cooperate completely whenever any of you ask me to. I'm not looking for a fight here either. I just think the current tagline looks pathetic now that somebody else is US Open Champion, and I was hoping for an orderly process by which to change it. Instead we got silence followed by defensiveness. Not your finest hour, boys.
especially when classic works of art done by Eggy and Archer are taken down minutes after they are put up.
Somehow I don't think Sigi would do the job in Columbus. Something about buck-a-brat night. But Keegan? Yeah, I can see him in Columbus.
They do what they think they should. They expunge my stuff from time to time and I can't recall complaining about it. Just part of the deal. They've got a job, they do it. Gotta respect that. But the job is more than just chasing the naughties away and shutting down flamewars, isn't it? And in regard to panties; I just found out where guys like "Mr Punch in the Neck" get thier undies: http://www.manties.net/
So, upon just looking, the Tag Line for the Crew Forum is now "Most massive 80 minutes in MLS" Come on, this just looks stupid. It requires people to think, and half the people won't know what the hell its talking about. Just use something very obvious. We Are A Massive Club or Massive Mediocrity Since 1996 I think either one would be great... I like the second one better, since it shows we're both massive, yet underachieving for such a massive club.
http://www.springtones.com/Man_Utd_Massive_Club_Ringtone.htm Somebody needs to start a "Massive Club" thread. "Oh, we got Mark Williams and his girlfreind too, we got Mark Williams and his girlfreind too, we got Mark Williams and his girlfreind too, Oh Crew are a Massive Club"
And sometimes what Management tells us to do. It is? Crap. Seriously, I've been less-than-interested in the Crew, given how bad they've sucked recently. I read the forum about once a day - and it rarely goes beyond skimming thread titles - because it's just too damn depressing. The sooner we get this miserable season over with, the better. I have been trying to get Management to fix the "can't ignore mods/premiums" bug for a long time now. They won't even let me see the code! If somebody wants to start a poll, I'll gladly have a super-mod change the tagline to match the results. So far the candidates are * We are a Massive Club * Massive Mediocrity Since 1996 * Most massive 80 minutes in MLS Any other suggestions?
I don't want anything about underachieving in our tagline. Underachieving is fine for us to talk about. But fcuk anyone else who talks about us underachieving. I think it should just say WE ARE A MASSIVE CLUB
As long as it doesn't involve latex or barnyard animals. You got that right. We just sit around depressing each other. I have an ulterior motive: I'm a Zoloft dealer. Seriously, people wonder why we talk about beer and *#*#*#*#*# so much. If they were Crew fans, they wouldn't have to ask. Mike LaStort is always ready to help out his pals the Crew fans. As for a tagline, "Still Waiting for Richter Boy to Punch us in the Neck" is probably out of the question?
Now that I have come out of my funk after watching the Cubs choke away yet another trip to the World Series: "Most massive 80 minutes in MLS"? I thought you had all agreed on "The Best 80 minutes in MLS," which is a lot more satiricial (and much funnier).
Alright then, let's put this to a vote so that this can be finalized. I'll leave it up to Toon of Foos or some other Crew Mod to put this together. Ready... Set... GO!
Of course, after the Metrohacks choked again last night, a possible tagline could be: "At least we have some hardware."
Man, this was a joke -- I never expected them to just put it up there. It involves too many steps in logic and shared history of this board to be funny to a general audience. I just noticed the poll, I'll go check it out.
