"They smile in your face
All the time they want to take your place
The back stabbers (back stabbers)"
It wouldn't be a shock to hear that the stereo at Crew HQ has The Ojays on repeat this morning.
Glasgow Celtic striker and Polish National team Captain What's-his-face Zurawski (no point in learning how to spell his first name any more), who practically had one foot on the plane to Columbus, has royally screwed over the Crew at the last possible moment and signed with Larissa of the Greek Super League.
The unkindest cut of all? After months of negotiations with the player, the agent and the club, the Crew found out the bad news on Celtic's website.

Sigi has been hornswoggled. Flim-flammed. Hoodwinked. Bamboozled.
It's a little late in the game to go back to the drawing board for McCullers and Co. You have to applaud the ambition on the part of the Crew brain trust, but this once again underlines the difficulties involved in bringing in name Europeans: the Euro player market makes the palace intrigues of the Turkish Caliph look like a grade school playground.
