I couldn't tell if any Fire fans got free accomodations down at Marconi Plaza ... however there WAS a police presence in their little section in the South End :p

They probably didnt' have anyone thrown out - their team didn't score so they couldnt set off smoke bombs or anything....

hasn't it kicked off a bit before with the chicago?

I know it'll never be like what i saw after and before Leeds - ManYoo today. Bricks flying into the away supporter's busses and their window's exploding. Bottles flying, street brawling.

wow, that was a fun day.

they did have somebody thrown out, i was standing behind them in the first half and some dude got dragged out by the cops.

what a great game though. the fire played like crap. they were horrible, really it should have been a worse beating but hey, a win is a win.

    on to naperville...

Must have missed THAT ... then again I was in 103 and didn't get a great view of what they were doing.

Nowak and Stoickhov both had HORRIBLE games, and Thornton picked a bad game to have the dropsies :p

    1) Bob or Stoitchkov? They're both quite old, who'd you have?

    2) Busch - Solid as a rock. PK save was great

    3) Crew goals, bang-bang. right after the other.

    Good game.

    Congrats!!!

A few weeks ago I figured the Crew were the only team the Revs had a shot of catching.

Since then (starting with the dramatic win over LA) Columbus has won a series of clutch games that have proven pretty conclusively that they are the class of the East.

Good luck next week to the Crew (from a slightly-biased observer).

The Revs have also made an excellent turn around. Most people thought they were dead a month or so ago :p

From what I have read, the Crew have clinched a playoff spot, and can clinch the Eastern Division with merely a tie against Chicago.

They could theoretically clinch the East even with a loss in Naperville next Saturday, even if New England and New York both win, as the first tiebreaker is GoalDifferential, and right now it looks like this:

    CLB +2
    NYNJ -3
    NER -3

The BIG thing to consider, is if the Crew CAN finish atop the East, they would be guaranteed NOT to face San Jose iin a series where they would have home field advantage.

If I have this wrong, please let me know.

The first tiebraker is head to head, then goal differential. If we lose and NE wins they win the East because they have a 2-1-1 record against us. If Metrosucks win and we lose it will depend on goal differential because the two teams split the series this year 2-2. Now wouldn't that be weird if NE wins the conference. The Crew need to take care of business next game, they are not out of the water yet by far.

Fire in the bus' toilet? Well, PISS on the Fire!

Funny--I was just reflecting tonight on how in 4 years I have never had anything stolen from me at Crew Stadium, until tonight. Why should I be surprised that it was a stupid Fire idiot that would start it. Personal property from our family's seats, NOWHERE near the Fire section. What a jerk. I guess that was his only way to compensate for the shutout against their team. Poor baby has to brag about something since he and his team was so inadequate.

Well, Dealsgonebad, thanks for the info. I'll be sending a copy of your bragging to The Fire and Crew offices. The flag and pole are expensive items you took from my family. The good part is, you still didn't ruin my joy at The Crew kicking your butts tonight! :p
I heard my moma cry, I heard her pray the night Chicago died... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    BTW- Happy Birthday Splarg!

Wait a minute - you meant to say that the big, scary hools from ChitCanGo are actually bragging and strutting because they managed to steal a flag from Mom, Dad and the kids?

I just assumed that they had actually sacked up and ripped something off from one of the groups. That would at least show some moxie.

But stealing from LUD? And then getting all chesty about it?

Not only has your team hit rock bottom, it appears that the fans have as well.

Always been a completely classless bunch - now we've got proof.

I'll bet Peter Wilt is completely embarassed by you guys. Buncha turds.

Tell you what. I've got a nice yellow Crew flag that I hang on my van sometimes, stealsgonebad; next time, come on over and grab IT, OK? You'll really like Riverside Methodist's ER.
