If this doesn't get you going, I have no idea what the hell will.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Crew opens 2003 CONCACAF Champions Cup action this Sunday, March 16, when The Crew travels to Panama to take on Deportivo Arabe Unido at 2 p.m. (ET) in the first leg of the Round of 16 series.

The game can be heard live on TheCrew.Com with Dwight Burgess calling the action from Colon, Panama. The Crew is hosting a listening party startingnat 1:30 p.m. at GameWorks at Easton (165 Easton Town Center - 614-428-7529). Fans can come out and join The Crew front office, The Crewzers and Crew defender Duncan Oughton as Columbus kicks off this regional club tournament.

The return leg will be played in Columbus at Crew Stadium on Sunday, March 23 at 4 p.m. (ET). The game in Crew Stadium is a part of all Crew full-season ticket packages and is classified as "International Game" in those ticket books. Single-game tickets for the home leg of this series are also on sale at all Ticket Master locations, via phone at 614-431-3600, at the Crew Stadium box office and on-line at TheCrew.Com.

"We are very excited to start the season," Smith said. "It has been a long preseason and the guys are ready to play a meaningful game. We are happy to partner with GameWorks to provide a fun atmosphere for our fans to listen to the game."

The CONCACAF Champions Cup is a 16-team club championship for all teams in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The Crew qualified for this regional tournament by winning the 2002 U.S. Open Cup title 1-0 over MLS Cup Champion Los Angeles on Oct. 24 at Columbus Crew Stadium. If The Crew advances to the quarterfinals they will play the winner of the Comunicaciones (Guatemala) vs. CA Monarcas Morelia (Mexico) series. The quarterfinal matches must be concluded by April 17.

The team is currently training in South Florida and will depart for Panama directly from Florida before returning to Columbus on March 17.

Also, Sunday is Game Day at GameWorks where great specials can be enjoyed all day, including all-you-can-eat fire grilled pizza, homemade pasta and fresh salad for just $7.95 per adult or $3.95 per child. GameWorks also features great game play specials every Sunday like the All Star Player - three hours of unlimited video game play for just $20 per person.

Well, it doesn't get me going...but then again, I'm pretty much a dick. While I applaud the Crew's efforts, a listening party at a location with a whole bunch of other noisy crap happening doesn't really fire me up.

Non Contact knee injury - cartiledge related. 4-6 weeks rehab. Mais has a groin twinge and was iffy. Paule is looking very valuable...as a 2 time MLS allstar in d-mid right now.

Crew staff today said to me that they hope to have it in a private room with doors, far away from the game floor.

I'm sure competeting noise won't be too much.

But if you don't wanna go, fine. I figure the more people that are there, the less feeds are being used. (and henceforce, less chance of anything going wrong).

The good part is we have Paule to step in. I think this might be why they tried McCarty at d-mid in one of the preseason games.

We need to be 2 deep in central mids, IMO. As DGA said, we have to control the midfield. Walsh is certainly not a proven back up Attacking Mid and Mais may not be physically ready to play a full game by Sunday.

    ----------Busch-----------

    McCarty-- Clark--Dunseth--Denton

    West -- Paule -- Martino -- Garcia

    ------Buddle----Cunningham---

    Mais for Martino in 75th

Lucci for West or Cunningham 70th

What I'd like to know is if somebody can record the audio feed and put it on an FTP site for me, if TheCrew.com doesn't archive it. I've got a prior commitment all afternoon and won't be able to listen live.
