Chicago 3-2 Columbus Well, that sucked. Came out flat, just like every other game we've lost this season. Gave up the goal right after we scored to tie the game. Our fate is now in Houston's hands and we lose Ekpo for either the Wild Card game or the home leg of the Quarterfinals against Philly. You're still sitting at home for the playoffs, Shitcago. Go f yourselves, douchbags.
PostGame: Crew vs Fire 3-2 loss to wrap up the regular season... If we do travel to Denver for a Wednesday night game you should all check out the forecast. Comedy...
And the thing is that you know LA is going to be running out their reserve team. It ain't looking good for us.
Re: PostGame: Crew vs Fire bullshit performance again. No one shined. Our DP was anonymous at best and shitty at worst. Perhaps this is just a "blip"?
On a positive note, Duka is starting to become dangerous. But for the most part... \begin{pissing} \begin{moaning} ...
At least I saw Renteria score a fantastic goal to rival Lenhart's against Toluca in a champions league match.
In crunch time of the last game of the regular season while fighting for playoff position, our DP and leading scorer was subbed off.
Re: PostGame: Crew vs Fire disappointing end to the season, but we had a few exciting moments at least hmmm, so all eyes on LA houston. if LA wins or ties we will get a home and home series with philly. if houston wins we must face colorado in a one-off away game (meaning we may not even get 1 home game in the playoffs)
Re: PostGame: Crew vs Fire AND more than likely be put in the West bracket to face LA if we manage to get past Colorado.
HOU loses or draws - Crew finish 3rd - host PHI on Oct. 30th HOU wins - Crew finishes 3rd Wild Card - at COL on Oct. 27th
Re: PostGame: Crew vs Fire It's a rather easy 6 hour drive from here to Denver. A little less easy in the snow.
Which is a silver lining, to be sure. But damn, that was stupid of Manu. Renteria's goal was phenomenal, so that's something. But coming off of a pi$$poor start againsat an eliminated team I hate as much as those guys, not enough. Cheering for LA makes me sick. LA makes me sick. This season makes me sick. Um, go LA, and stuff . . .
Re: PostGame: Crew vs Fire well, of course colorado is without conor casey, i was watching the colorado/vancouver game briefly and it seemed like omar cummings was limping around...a good sign for the crew? it would be nice to get some revenge
Even more remarkable is KC's turnaround this season. If I'm not mistaken, they were in last place in the East on the night that they opened Livestrong.
Ekpo looked at the score, looked at the weather report for Colorado and said, "no way, got to get me a 2nd yellow..." Not that it falls solely on that play to make a difference in the game... but I would like to know what the Ref thought caused a ball rising upwards in the box to suddenly clang downwards into the ground when it reached an area next to the body of a Chicago player but not close to the body at all. And while the Ref was not in the best position for it, the linesman should have been....
Just remember Crew players. If it comes down to penalty kicks, and you miss one, you're getting shipped off to another team.
Reminds me of another recent must-win situation where one of our most dynamic players didn't play. In this case, the guy also went straight for the locker room.
That was painful. We worked our a**es off to come back to tie it and immediately give up a goal. Duka was on tonight. Goal of the year material from Renteria. On to the playoffs, the question is where?
