Notebook: Sessions with sport psychologist pay off Some cool stuff in this article, speaking of the mental makeup of the Columbus Crew, especially after the disheartening Chicago loss.
I still remember when Mexico was in town with their psychologist. He was trying to impart to them warm thoughts before the game. Only problem was that instead of warming up in the freezing weather, they were spending time listening to a wacko speak in the lockerroom. Moral of the story, sports psychologits are no match for training and warming up before a match.
Dr. Kays is class all the way, and I truly believe he has helped this club immensely this season, specifically Buddle and Perez.
I saw this guy on TV the other night. Apparently this self-help crap (thats really all it is) really works.
