FSW had the Mariner (Va. Beach)/ Rhino game on tonight. Dante(goal & assist), Pato (assist), Bilyk, all played well in a thrashing of the Rhinos. Rhinos got a little trashy at the end as they were getting smoked. Pato's assist was a 40yd diagonal from the rt middle to a free running left fwd or wing. Dante was the class in ball movement and I gave him an assist for an excellent dummy (that left the keepers jock on his knees) for the first goal.

Pretty attractive style by the Mariners. Good flow and the ball had to be exhausted from all the running and flying it did. Mariners looked Strong and well coached - good shape and switches on both sides of the ball.

They're worth a watch if you can catch one of their games. No Bunker ball played here...

Perhaps someone near the State Fairgrounds is watching tapes of these matches.

Virginia Beach looks really strong (I caught some of the 2nd half). Lots of former MLSers, while Rochester seems to be fading. They've kept most of their core players (Miller), but haven't been improving by picking-up former top-level players like Beach has.
