Right. Even the lower end of the range you suggested would get us a top striker for this league. I suggest Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City, who if anyone remembers, trained with us when he was still a kid..... bagged a hat trick for us against Dayton Dutch Lions, who killed Eddie Gaven the year prior. Just kidding * But seriously, billionaire owners who can afford to pay one player on their football team, more than their entire soccer team....can easily afford to have this team have 3 DPs all making several mil, if not over 10 mil, if they cared to, and it would only be a drop in the bucket for them. That kind of money can get huge talent (at least for this league) and propel us to instant perennial cup, shield, and ccl contenders. The league acts like it cant justify much larger expenditure without a huge tv contract and sold out stadiums everywhere to pay for it. MLS isnt going anywhere like that. Maybe we elevate our status as a selling league a bit with the growth of our academies and such (which is obviously a good thing), but nobody watches MLS because they just love to see teams sell off their talent. You have to give potential new fans, as well as television networks, an actual decent product. "Spend money to make money" never applied to anything more. *....am i actually kidding?
Etienne robbed in the Short North. From a #Crew96 spokesperson: “We are aware of an incident involving one of our players being the victim of a robbery on Thursday, March 17, and we are relieved that Derrick is okay following the matter. Further inquiries should be directed to the Columbus Police Department.”— Thomas Costello (@1ThomasCostello) March 19, 2022 Happy to hear he didn't get hurt. Also, what the ********?
Australia lost at home to Japan today, so they are out of direct qualification, but still advance to a single game playoff against UAE on June 7th, then the winner of that will play the fifth place team from CONMEBOL a week later. No games scheduled for that stretch so Degenek shouldn’t miss any games.
That sucks, but it could be worse. LZ unable to travel and play for Armenia...... https://www.dispatch.com/story/spor...-miss-1-2-weeks-right-knee-injury/7138576001/

Steffen is under contract until 2025 would live to get him back . If he is never going to start perhaps they sell him also the BPL ends in May . Would be nice to get him on loan problem would be the next season starts in what august ? just throwing this out there because i miss him and Im not a fan of Room long term
As you know i wanted this many years ago but he simply going to cost too much at this point and he needs to play at a higher level then mls
He is playing at a higher level, then he may return to MLS some day.[emoji6] @Timon19 #GrammarAzovBattallion
Dont think he has any reason to come back to MLS. He could easily get a starting job at a lower table EPL team or a mid-table Bundeliga club. Probably could get a job at a top Dutch or Belgian team as well. Id do any of that before coming back to MLS, at his age. Room was a good signing when we first got him. We could keep it concacaf and try to get like Panama GK Luis Meijia or something? Just spitballin....and Perez from El Salvador while were in the neighborhood.
I'd prefer to train up a good, young US keeper (or two). That's one of the positions that the US produces in good quality and numbers. You also do not have to use an international slot to get one either. Crew 2 may help with this.
Ugh, Pat Murphy is reporting that Lucas went down in a crumpled heap while trying to work back with the first team. Couldn't put any weight on the leg and had to be carted off.
