http://www.dispatch.com/content/blogs/covering-the-crew/2013/11/sked.html We open on March 8. Two weeks off for WC group stage
Woohoo! I'm moving back to Ohio (NE) in the summer...we have our house hunting trip scheduled over Crewsmas. Life is good.
Third year in a row the home opener is the second game of the season? That's pretty bogus. I'll withold my excitement level until after the SuperDraft and the roster is finalized.
Woohoo, the World Cup break covers my wedding weekend and honeymoon so I wont have to miss any home matches.
May 4th @ KC, the 7th @ Hou, the 10th @ home looks like a busy week & three away games then finishing the season at home is also tough if we need points.
The team probably asks for as late a home opener as they can get without a road death march to start the season. I haven't checked but bet the southern teams open at home.
Ouch, October: 3 away matches @NE, @PHI, @NY before the season closer at home against PHI. If we're scrapping for a playoff spot, this is going to be a really a tough stretch. A plus: no traveling west after May 17.
Now that the schedule is announced, I just have to wait for CSU to officially start taking renewals lol.
I have absolutely zero enthusiasm for the coming season. I expect it will be an even bigger disaster than 2013.
Typically 1-2 weeks before the first home game. For Crew Union, I've usually picked mine up in person. Other groups?? Ask them. I did notice an extremely favorable schedule going up against OSU games...and whoever complained in past years about an unfavorable schedule against Comfest weekend? Home game Comfest Saturday at 8 pm.
God... I should know better, but I'm in a pissing match with a Seattle fan who's whining because the Cascadia Cup schedule isn't balanced.
I am in a wait and see mode. But I hope that after the draft and a few player acquisitions that I can be excited about the upcoming season.
That Sounder is ungrateful or has a very short memory. The league taking a chunk of the transfer fee for Dempsey should put aside any scheduling complaints.
I'm going to try to hit both Portland and Seattle next year before I move away. I'm guessing @AndyC will attend at least one of those, too.
Thinking Maybe KC on the 4th maybe colorado if I can talk myself into it. Possibly DC. On an up note...Chili for all on the 22nd
I guess I am the only one excited for this season. Maybe I am a sucker but I am always excited no matter what. You realize the Crew benefited from this same policy with Higuain right? *I do realize the league shelled out more money for Dempsey that other players*
