Crown Legacy with a third goal right about 65:00. 3-2. Tied in the 68th! #17 scored. Assist by Jayden Da. Yellow card to Columbus Adrián González in the 70th. Cole Mrowka is down (but he got up) in the 74th right about when Jayden Da hit the crossbar. Crown Legacy with a chance to win it in regulation, but we're off to kicks. Both teams get one point for the standings and the winning team will get a bonus point. Both teams made their first kick. Lapkes didn't dive fast enough on the second round. Here comes Cole Mrowka for the Capys second kick. A weak shot, but it goes in! Crown Legacy with the goal. Here comes Jayden Da...the hesitation and it's blocked. 3-2 4th round. Crown Legacy shot goes wide. Crew goal. After 4 rounds tied at 3. Each team missed one. Crown Legacy with the goal. It's do-or-die time. Dammit. You had one job!
Five minutes later and a Crew 2 PK bounces off the crossbar and in. Pearson with the goal! 58th, just two minutes after the Pearson PK...here's a Huntsville hat trick. (These two events were on either side of Patrick Schulte going down. I'd imagine it's not a good situation for anyone with ADD or such.) Capys win 4-3!
Of course. Huntsville was where the moon missions were planned. My Uncle Lee worked at Marshall Spaceflight Center/Redstone Arsenal.
If you're not doing anything after about 2pm, your presence is requested at Historic Crew Stadium for today's 3pm kickoff vs Toronto FC II. I can't guarantee free tickets, but I've heard solid rumors that there's usually extras floating around the tailgate...
I think this indicates which of the players are going to monterrey Our squad today 🆚 Toronto FC II 💪#Crew96 | #VamosColumbus pic.twitter.com/styDM2xYpq— Columbus Crew 2 (@ColumbusCrew2) April 7, 2024 Missing Gio, Taha, and Cole. Note that some of the younger players, like Adams, were at the GA cup
Toronto scored first. Columbus scored in the 37th. 1-1 in the 40th. 2-1 at the half and that's how it ended.
NYC FC II today at 3pm. The CapyBrava will be hosting a tailgate. Come on out to HCS! It'll be a little chilly, but otherwise a great day. MLS Season Pass has the broadcast.
Definitely going to try and watch this today. When Warmer weather hits I’ll definitely try to attend some games.
You'll be hooked. I went to the home opener in 2022, thinking I'd just go sporadically. I didn't go to the first Crew game in 1996, but didn't want to miss the first Crew 2 game. I was dead wrong. I found a seat near the center stripe, looked to my right and saw the CapyBrava. Sunday 5/12 is Heck is Plausible vs FCC II. It kicks off at 3pm at LDC. There'll undoubtedly be a good crowd. But the one to really go to, if you can only pick one, is Sunday 7/21 at 6pm because it's at HCS.
I likely will miss the game 5/12 my daughter has a soccer tournament of all places in Cincinnati. Waiting on the schedule but I should easily make the first team gm at 730pm.
5pm today at Red Bull New York II. Broadcast live on MLSNextPro.com. In all likelihood, it'll be a tough game for the young capys. I hate to say it's a "must win" this early in the season, but a win would be a huge step. https://www.mlsnextpro.com/standings/2024
Chase Adams in the sixth minute for his first professional goal. NY conceeds first for the first time all season. 2-0 at the half thanks to a Brent Adu-Gyamfi goal in the 40th. Lapkes with a huge save in the 89th to preserve the 2-0 scoreline.
