If I was going to bet on a team to avoid the drop Fulham would be one of the ones I would bet on. They look like they have the best defense of the bottom 5.

Even if they drop, ARob is doing well enough for a better club to come to the rescue.

I'm certainly hoping they stay up. I love a Premier League with Fulham in it.

The Forgotten Man: Antonee Robinson at Fulham

Started v Everton today, Fulham down 1-3 at halftime.

Fulham seems to be where ailing teams come to get healthy.

Nah, that's West Brom. Have they even scored a goal yet this season?

He was fine today. Not really at fault for any of the goals though he was lucky he didn't cause one as played square ball to a CB deep in own territory but Everton didn't score thankfully. Should have had an assist in the first half on his low cross that Reid scuffed from around 6 yards out when they were down 1-0. He had some good runs but as color guy said with his pace its hard to keep touch under control as he kicked ball little too far in front after one deep run in the box. Hopefully he can clean that up. Fulham were much better in 2nd half but should have started that way. Loftus Cheek should have started as much better with him on. And yes they missed another penalty as Cabielero skyed one after slipping when down 3-1.

Robinson gets beaten eventually resulting in FK from which Leicester should have scored.

Being a bottom feeder in the PL can be brutal.

Robinson had a chance to shoot straight at the keeper.

Robinsons issue is positional. If he ever figures it out then he would be a solid LB.

Edit: he gets a shot on goal and kickes it straight to the goalie.

I would be very surprised if Fulham keeps a clean sheet.

It was like he took something off the shot to make sure it went straight into the keeper’s hands.

I suppose because the defender did not make contact with the ball a penalty can be given if there is heavy contact with the attacker.

He sure did. Robinson wanted to make sure his shot didn't go stray but by using the instep of his foot the shot didn't have much punch.

Sounds as though he took his chance very well. Let's hope next time he has a chance to shoot one past the keeper.

That pass he received was a shite one. He couldn't run into it properly and his shot ended up being trash as a result. So for sure let's mention the entire unfolding of the play lol.

He had a tidy half in my opinion. He's up and down the pitch effortlessly, applying the appropriate pressure without pushing himself out of position. As a result, Leicester pushed most of their attacking down the opposite side.

These Monday matches have allowed me to watch him much more and I like the player he's developing into being. Still so surprised by his performance with the USMNT team however.

Even though the pass wasn't weighted well... it was a poor attempt at goal. AR also gotten beaten once and Reid had to take a yellow to cover it. But aside from that I think AR played fine. He had a couple of good tackles and his defensive positioning has been good. IMO, he has done nothing yet to warrant losing his spot... but you would never know it w/ some of the harsh takes around here. Fulham needs a win in a bad way and they are going up against one of the best teams in the league. AR needs to make sure he continues to cover well on D so that Fulham can get across the line. <fingers-crossed>

I would be very surprised if Fulham doesn't get three points. They've looked great. They have been competitive in all but a couple of their games this year. They're much more compact defensively than they were last time up and for what is essentially a brand new back four playing very well. I was a little surprised they didn't give Rodak a chance to prove he is premier league quality, but Areola is good.

Just need to hold the line for another 10 minutes or so and let the doubt seep in - "Maybe today just isn't our day."

Maybe they can successfully implement a Spurs-like "Park the Bus" technique.
