Second biggest story is if he finishes 90 minutes healthy.

Nice job Jedi!. Only saw Burnleys 1st goal, he was stuck trying to mark 2-3 guys on a break. He went one way and the pass went to other guy who scored. CB was late to help.

Went 90, won 3-2. What a great story.

Max is sad right now. Ha

Jedi was good today. Mostly sound defensively, could have been a little better on the 2 goals against, but wasn't all on him. He looked good getting up and down alot on that left side, it was once again Fulham's best attacking side. Had a beauty of a ball over the top for a hockey assist on their 2nd goal. A more in form Jedi gets one or two assists today and maybe does better on one of those two goals. Overall, impressive first start back after all these months out. Fingers crossed that knee holds up. Arfsten is simply not playing much when Jedi is healthy.

(posted this in pbp, but reposting here to maximize clout.)

So great to see Robinson go a full game. Wow.

That said, that back 4 has to get its act together or they are going to get destroyed by better teams. Leno with a couple of top-notch saves to keep them in it. Really bad communication/anticipation between the CBs a number of times, a terrible too-soft back pass...

Super-cool to see Jedi back, FFC run a really fun and efficient counter, they have some little set plays, like that looping soft-chip to the goal line followed by a far-post chip cross that they tried at least 4 times and came off beautifully thanks to Robinson's perfect touch and even better pull-down by Wilson to put the ball to Bassey's head. That's a difficult play to defend if you can pull it off.

But Fulham D has to get it together. They can't count on their keeper that much.

The tried to attack Jedis side in the final 5-10 minutes. He shut it down hard.
He went in too far inside on Burnleys second, and the haphazard clear went to his man.He looked afterwards like he was expecting rotation down when he went for the ball.

What’s that, a goal with each of his three legs?

Clint scored a goal in the World Cup against Portugal with his third leg.

Texans wear big hats. A Texas hat-trick is 4 goals

Jedi was pretty good for first game back. Upfront- he skied the best chance on goal he will get all season. It wasn’t a sitter, but he had the near post wide open and no pressure on his shot (needed to be quick). He went right direction and bend, but about 10 feet too high. I (and the Fulham boards) give him a pass on the first Burnley goal- Bassy fell asleep and left Jedi with two players to cover. I feel like he did not cover the more dangerous of the two, but forgive that because there’s no situation where he should have been expected to be covering the central attacker while the CB covered no one. Fulham attacked on his side a lot as his speed destabilized Burnley’s right. Good vision (sort of good execution, ish) on the ball over the top to Wilson that led to the 2nd goal. Great, great, great field coverage on defense- breaking up plays on the right side touch line. He’s a beast with his mobility and positioning.

overall, looked like a player who had not started in a long time. But still looked pretty damn good. Expectation is that he will get a lot better.

I was thinking after the match. If that's a player that hasn't played much ball for many months, holy shit how have I already forgotten what a beast he can be.

He was always there and so steady we started taking him for granted. The best thing about his injury is we now have a few possible subs or part time starters so he's not exhausted like he was at the end of the US - Netherlands game.

Starts today in a Cup tie versus Newcastle. Kinda surprised at the back-to-back for him, but Sess is not on the bench so must be hurt.

This will be a real test for Jedi's physical rehab. Wouldn't be surprised if he suffers a minor strain or niggle after not playing 90 for so long and then playing again so soon.

They take potshots at Jedi? fans never cease to amaze me. I would have agreed a couple of years ago but he was leading or close to leading the EPL in assists last year. Remember when Argie fans were mad about Messi?
