FFC win 3-1. Jedi with (at least) a key block and an assist on #3. Only saw a few highlights, but sounds like FFC hung in well after allowing BHA to tie it up. Fulham up to 6th for now.

Jedi recently broke into the top 100 appearances list for Fulham with 165, good for 98th place. With a minimum of 25 matches remaining, he would reach 83 if he plays 20 of them. It's a testament to his durability and consistency

He's still 147 shy of Tim Ream who is 25th with 312 appearances.

This guy has game. I bet Milan rues the day they passed due to his medical eval. Unless Fulham manages a top four finish, I doubt they can afford to keep him.

Carrying the team and his daughter - how much can one Jedi do?!

Ended 1-1 - a scrappy tie and good result for FFC, if we're being fair. Late goal for Arse ruled out for OS. AR had his hands full (literally at times) with Saka and get a YC for banging into Saka late in the game as well. Bassey got carded a little bit before in a sequence where AR could have been carded, but the Count's foul was more obviously tactical (I just saw the last half of the 2nd). Unfortunately for FFC, who were in 5th after last weekends games, their main competition nabbed 3 each and they're now down to 10 - tho 11- 5 are very close and will reshuffle a lot for the next few games at least.

Esp given who he was dealing with. His ratings were decent that I saw as well. 3-4th best on the team after jiminez, tete and keeper.

I heard the game on SiriusXM radio. The English commentators were raving about him, at times.

OT rant, but this is the last time I read any of Sky Sports football game recaps.

All Big Club, all the time! The first 3/4 of the Sky Sports recap devoted solely to Arsenal's title hopes now being in "jeopardy".

Oh, yeah -- Fulham played, too. They got a point.

But enough of that. Let's get right back to more breathless coverage on Arsenal and examine the tragedy of their dropped points in microdetail...

I blame Nick Hornby for this particular club fetishization. They are second only to Chelsea in mercenary, random fandom.

    “Antonee Robinson

The fact that Marco Silva has managed this Fulham rise while losing seemingly irreplaceable players in successive summers will go some way to softening the inevitable blow when interest in Robinson is finally acted upon this summer.

Aleksandar Mitrovic and Joao Palhinha are not missed in these parts, but the manager knows the role of “one of the best left-backs in this league” will be tougher to duplicate.

Few players have handled the threat of Bukayo Saka quite as well while still providing thrust and balance in attack. Robinson leads the way for combined tackles and interceptions across the league this season and has made as many passes into the penalty area as the Arsenal forward.

Silva has Arsenal’s number but is wise to keep it stored safely in Robinson’s pocket. If nothing else, his name and position lends itself to an easy if fairly expensive transition from Andy Robertson at Liverpool.

He is in the Premier League XI of the season so far. And deservedly so.”

From the Guardian's weekly 10 Talking Points from the Weekend's Action column, by Jonathan Wilson too:
Antonee Robinson has started 144 league games for Fulham over the past four and a bit seasons. Since Fulham’s return to the Premier League in 2022, the Milton Keynes-born USA international has been one of the most consistent left-backs in the division and yet is a weirdly undiscussed figure. He played a vital role in restricting Arsenal’s threat. Where others have a tendency to stand off Bukayo Saka, Robinson engaged him aggressively and had the better of their duel. And if his pass accuracy was just 52.6%, perhaps the kindest thing that can be said is that preserving possession wasn’t necessarily the priority. “He’s one of the best left-backs in this league,” said Marco Silva. “He’s one of the full-backs with most assists in open-play moments, a great professional, a proper athlete. He’s improving his defensive positions and some defensive decisions season by season and week by week.”
    Jonathan Wilson

He was excellent. The FFC fans know it too. He's usually not the best player on any given gameday, but he's almost always the first player mentioned as "and if I don't vote X as MOTM, I'll vote Robinson". So consistent and essential to the defensive/offensive balance of this team. ESR and Anderson were great additions, but they are still punching above their weight. Robinson is a big reason why.
