Newcomer Andersen starts, Robinson not in the squad, Fulham visiting Birmingham City in EFL Cup action.
In a shocking development Jedi regains his spot at FFC about to KO v Ipswitch at Portman Rd. On TV someplace, I'm guessing. Notch one more "big 5" starter for the weekend, if we're being honest...

And Fulham hang on for the tie. The last 5-8 minutes were really not great for Fulham. The have to figure out how to hold the ball. The defending was effective, if totally hectic, but the couldn't complete two passes, and just looked completely disjointed. Lucky to hold the point.

Top club, and its fortunes have to turn around some day don’t they? Maybe not until after an ownership change
The ownership has changed in terms of running the team. And they’ve finally put a good structure in place and were better this year with transfers. But Ten Hag is clearly a placeholder.
Why wouldn’t he go to one of the most historic clubs in the world who is regularly in the Champions League if there’s a real role available there for him?
At least it's not Chelsea. He's going to a bigger club eventually. He's not going to City or Pool or Real Madrid. So a team like United makes sense.
Heartbreaker for Jedi/Fulham as he starts and goes 90 but FFC give up the tying goal in added time to share points with West Ham.
Preston NE 1-1 Fulham, PNE advancing in the EFL Cup 16-15 on PKs. Robinson DNP. Holmes played 82’ for PNE. Poor Timothy Castagne made his first PK but missed his second. Six PNE players and five Fulham players made both their PKs. Only three total misses in 34 attempts.

Played pretty well on their way to a deserved 3-1 victory over Newcastle. Somewhat quiet from the LB, but then again, they led the whole match after the fifth minute.
It got interesting in the 2nd half as NC scored in the 46th to cut the lead to one. A lot of defending until FFC scored in the 92nd. Robinson was good, not great today. Dennis job. He just doesn’t have a great strike on the ball. Put one good chance way over early and passed on several (to recycle possession, so not terrible decisions). Some very quality defensive plays, especially one to cover for Bassy when he got lost. Overall solid but not spectacular. Good professional game.

Lost 3-2. Good game. Citeh obviously better but Fulham never gave up, played some attractive footie, esp in 1st half - the possession leading to the first goal esp. FFC is a well balanced side this year and seem to have a decent amount of composure. Won't stay in 7th come Monday but look a solid midtable or better team so far this season.
