I wouldn't play Robinson at center back. Haven't seen enough of Lovitz to have an opinion on whether he could. Do you think Robinson and Ream are interchangeable because that was my point. They aren't.
Jedi threw himself about and helped Fulham get a point at Stamford Bridge. He led Fulham with 5 interceptions.
I thought he was good today... but if he could learn to properly cross a football he'd be one hell of a wingback.
Felt like he faded a bit at the end, but had a very good first half. He really needs to get his crossing boots on right. He's able to get space so well out wide, if he could pinpoint a few cross onto Mitrovich's or Reed's head, they could pick up a more points. But he's become a pretty steady player out there.
That play when “one of the best fullbacks in the world” knocks the ball out of Antonee’s hands during a throw in. I love watching that shit club implode and Fulham shut them out. Chelsea is a pretty competitive mid table team though
Reese runs by a knocks the ball out of Antonee’s hands before a throw in. Pretty douche move, CFC through and through.
CB: Tim Ream (c) - 8/10 - Superb block on the line from Fofana towards the end. Had already denied Havertz an almost certain goal in the first half. LB: Antonee Robinson - 7/10 - Ensured there was no way for the hosts to get through down his side.
Fascinating profile of Jedi in today's Guardian. Really worth reading, even if you're not into him as a player or even into football. It also discusses the details around the heart problems issues that scuppered his move to Inter Milan. Jedi is just abnormally sensitive to caffeine. “I was having ectopic heartbeats, which is basically an insufficient heartbeat. Up to 5% is OK but I was having double that. It was making my heart dilate, which means it was overworking and growing in size. It could have approached failure if it hadn’t been caught. So that [Milan] medical gave me the chance to catch something I didn’t even know I had.” Robinson was due to have surgery in March 2020 but Covid delayed the operation. While he waited Robinson was advised to stop drinking coffee and, a few months later, “when they went to do the operation they didn’t see any more insufficient heartbeats. They came to the conclusion that my heart’s sensitive to caffeine and I just needed to cut out coffee. Two weeks later I played my first game in six months against Huddersfield and it was a big relief.” https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...nson-fulham-card-trick-world-cup-hug-iran-usa

I drank coffee by the pot for 30+ years, then developed a bad heart flutter. Quit drinking coffee and presto! No more flutter. So now Milan can resume their recruitment of me too.

Correct. Willian’s was a monster goal. Soloman’s was nice. He had forever on the goal but he did well to settle and take his time. Great game- the team played so well. Looks like the fan board will vote Ream MOtM again. They love him. Same with Jedi- the left side defense for Fulham has gone to a whole new level after the WC break.
