I disagree that he was impactful going forward- I watched most of the match. It was a dull game. However, Antonee’s defense was outstanding in the second half. I hope he can raise himself to that level (and beyond) every game.
I saw a few sites that scored Antonee and Ream as the two best players on the field. Deserved for their defense. That said, Wolves should have won in that terrible blunder by Rodàk.

Narrator: And they did, indeed, win today... Apparently Fulham is signing this kid Kluivert from Nice olf Roma. (He has a famous grandfather...) Kluivert is an intresting buy. He was really hot at Ajax for like one and half seasons, did ok at Roma but eventually got loaned and never really tore it up the way some hoped. He's only 23, and has already had a fine career at the club level, but due to the lineage there was a bit more hype around him. Hasn't really broke into serious Sr. PT either. Has a couple of friendly appearances only iirc. Deal reported as a loan/option. Justin supposedly had a buy clause at Nice but didn't hit the metrics.
His grandfather scored hundreds of goals in Suriname, but his father, Patrick, is almost certainly more famous outside Suriname...
Sadly, it's the kind of deal that FFC can get. While we have the West London location going for us, we don't have the name (and history and resources) of the big clubs in England. It's a bit of a flier but the kind that might work out. He is only 23 and perhaps our system is better. Fingers crossed.
He's not exactly been a bust, either. Scored a lot his last season at Ajax and has scored some decent CL goals too, I think I saw he got 6 for Nice last season. If he wasn't Kluivert's kid and didn't have the hype around him, he'd be reported as a decent addition - although I'm not sure what Fulham had to spend to get him. With Solomon out for a bit, Fulham need some bodies.
Interesting League/Carabao Cup game today. Should be a good early test of squad depth. Fulham @ Crawley Town
Reports all over the place on what Fulham will have to pay to get him. Seems like a loan with an obligation to buy, but lots of contingencies on that obligation. Hard to say. I hope he's fast - dire need for more speed.
Not overly known for his speed. Pretty strong. Fast enough, but more about finishing and tech skills.
Does anyone else think that ARob has made a significant step forward over the past year or so? I think his defense is noticeably better. He is big and fast and provides width in attack. He can run forever and he is durable. To me all of that suggests that he could play for a team that is not ping-ponging between EPL and the Championship.
I haven't been overly attentive, but it seems to me at casual game watches he makes less positional mistakes as well. He and Dest always felt like two high-skill wingbacks/fullback who could mature into very solid players if they worked at the tactical/tech side of the game. Seems Jedi has been doing a bit of that to my eye.
Starts: TEAM NEWS IS IN! 🚨#ARSFUL pic.twitter.com/qYCbz6lqfs— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) August 27, 2022 Match is on NBC.
He and Ream were both good. Arsenal controlled most of the game, but only generated two good chances throughout, and one of those was entirely down to a Leno error. Solid showing from most of the Fulham defense (Mbabu was ass when he came on). Not a lot going forward today, but you'd expect that.
Games against the Big 6 are a damage-limitation exercise for Fulham. Of course they want to win but avoiding a shellacking of the kind Bournemouth endured is the primary goal. Losing 2-1 is a disappointing but not unacceptable result.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who though that. I cannot remember a ton of times I’ve seen such an experienced player look so completely clueless.
