I can't remember such a crappy weekend ever coming up for Yanks Abroad, given
all the Yanks we have playing overseas:

    - Start of Premiership season, but Dempsey (who had monster season last year) will be held out
    - Guzan appears to have lost the starting keeper battle at Villa
    - Lichaj may or may not start (hopefully yes)- after starting last many games last season
    - Edu, Bocanegra are still unsettled and either won't play or Boca in 4th division Scotland
    - Ream *might* start
    - Holden is still hurt
    - Cameron played great in pre-season, but due to Mexico won't play in all likelihood
    - Spector is hurt still
    - Packwood- who had a great chance to start this weekend- is hurt
    - Howard? I guess he is starting right?
    - Cherundolo looks solid
    - Jozy is a real bright spot
    - Boyd likely won't start
    - Brooks looks to be deep-sixed for his major error last week
    - Josh Gatt is still hurt
    - Davies is mop up minutes only
    - Findley might no longer be playing at Forest
    - Ditto for Robbie Rogers
    - Friedel has lost his starting place
    - Gooch is unsettled apparently
    - Bradley is hurt and training on his own
    - Chandler may be now a 'Rossi' type YA

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE HELL? I hope this is the nadir of YA for many years to come

You forgot that in Puxatawny, Pennsylvania Zak Whitbread crawled out from his hole and saw his shadow.

That means another 6 more months of being injured.

    Up in the skyway
The fact that we have so many Yanks abroad now playing in good leagues kinda negates your topic.

Jozy had two great goals this weekend. There are still occasional weeks where we don't get two YA goals at all.

I was thinking the same thing when I was picking the YA fantasy league. I can't believe how few players are actually playing...

I'm sure that league play not starting for these YAs has something to do with it. :p

Also looking like Sebastien Lletget (sp?) isn't making the bench for WH, if my memory serves me correct.

There was one, Friedel, so your question is equivalent to asking whether an American has played every weekend since it was founded. Friedel's streak goes back to 2004. He missed a couple games at the end of the 03-04 season, but there were a bunch of Americans there then, so probably someone played. Friedel got to the Premier League in 1997

Before then, there's John Harkes, who played stints in 1992–93, 1995–96, 1998–99. Cobi Jones, who played 1994-95. Kasey Keller played in the 1996-97 season. Juergen Sommer played for QPR in 95-96. Roy Wegerle played from 1992 to 1995. You gotta figure that Wegerle probably missed a game or two sometime in the 93-94 season, and there were probably some other gaps elsewhere. So, no, I'm pretty sure, not the fewest ever.

And we can always claim Steve Potts who played from 1985 to '03.

    Let's see:
    Jozy for 2 - again
    MB quacks a duck
    Bedoya bicycles.
    Boyd bicycles.
Bocanegra plays in the scottish 4th division!
We beat Mexico at Azteca using a YA or two...
And we have the best transfer soap opera since Landon.
We have Camer-on-Stoke getting WP, and playing in Azteca
We have a guy named Will Packwood in the Nationwide. (it simply hasn't been that good since Max Cream played in Scotland.)
I thought this was one of the best YA weeks ever.
