Well I did say no cases “Yet”!!! We’re paying for the July 4th holiday. So nice for people to get away from home and mask restrictions for freedom in the coastal community. We’ve gone from zero over the first 6 months or so to 12 so far and expecting more. 12 may not sound a lot but damn it, it takes you out of your complacency. Tracing has a family visit from freaking “Arizona.” Who TF thought that was a good idea. They obviously did. Let’s get out of this covid ridden 100 degree state and go visit your relatives on the coast. And Share. A couple came from a hot spot town up north. Newport. We’re going to have to rethink our lifestyle. Have our groceries and Rx delivered. Sometimes I hate “People!”
We've already seen a flood of "I'm an American and I have rights" videos coming from restrictions at Costco. I can only image how many more there'll be now.
Meanwhile. Moar winning as we forge ahead of the rest of the world. They just can’t keep it up and drop flaccidly as we celebrate American Freedoms. (Groan) The Orange Idiot was right with his Rose Garden Ramble yesterday. We’re doing better than the rest of the world.
That’s 150 cases per 100,000 people in a week (or even less) time when you consider testing lag...from zero. That’s a lot. For comparison, our largest freedumbs county in the St Louis metro is St Charles county. They went from about 40 cases per 100k to 120 cases per 100k in about 3 weeks. That is now the worst county in the St Louis metro. That’s not high relative to Sun Belt cases, but it’s toward the high end of the Midwest, Northeast and Pacific Northwest.
And I'm still in Twitter Gulag... Not Fair - I need to be dunking on this bitch JUST IN: Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announces he has tested positive for COVID-19. Story soon. pic.twitter.com/4tGKL7gXuW— Kassie McClung (@KassieMcClung) July 15, 2020 https://t.co/m3V9bG69gq— Kassie McClung (@KassieMcClung) July 15, 2020
Your doin' fine Oklahomaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daily #COVID19 update via the state Department of Health: Following the governor testing positive, Oklahoma sees a record in new cases, exceeding 1,000 for the first time.- 22,813 cases (+1,075)- 561 hospitalizations, as of 7/14 (+15)- 5.5% overall positive rate as of 7/14 pic.twitter.com/KMlTlZAuOK— Kassie McClung (@KassieMcClung) July 15, 2020
There may be a link between consumption of fermented vegetables and lower COVID-19 death rates. So, have some pickles, kraut, kimchi, etc. Nothing to lose. If we’re lucky, the positive fermentation aspect will extend to beer. https://www.news-medical.net/news/2...le-consumption-to-low-COVID-19-mortality.aspx
But you dont have to wear one if you have a medical issue preventing it. So just claim you have a problem, as many have done before, and bingo, no mask for you.
I retract my earlier statement. It is not WALMART who has made the exception to the policy ... it is BEST BUY. I misread the article I saw on this. Mea culpa.
However, this paper is a preliminary report and should not be regarded as conclusive or established information. Don't worry, Dr Trump is on the case. People will be throwing their masks away and chowing down on the antipasto!
No you were right. From a Bloomberg article: “We know it may not be possible for everyone to wear a face covering,” Walmart’s Smith said in the announcement. “We know some people have differing opinions on this topic."
I found out that a fellow Knights of Columbus member has contracted coronavirus. He's 75 years old. I initially heard he was asymptomatic, then I heard he was in the hospital. Still trying to find out which is it. His daughter (in her 40's) and granddaughter (in her 20's) also tested positive. Both women are my next door neighbors! As the saying goes....'shit's gettin' real, real fast'!
Chicago Tribune is reporting IL's numbers already, usually they don't post until 2:30ish on the IDPH website. 1186 today and Chicago is close to going back to Phase 3 according to Mayor Lightfoot. Wear your damn masks people.
