Yes. Sadly I have put back on quite a bit more. At one point I was biking 40 miles every weekday, at least double that every weekend day, and then several hours a day doing weight training. Then I got married.
Yes, and that's another part of the challenge nobody has mentioned here. Time! It's crucial. It takes diet and exercise. And exercise takes time, a precious commodity in the modern world. I'm not saying it's impossible. But it's hard and requires than simply effort in my opinion. Circumstances do play a role.

Theoretically people should have more time now than pre-COVID. Not everyone of course, but many are unemployed and many more are not wasting time commuting to work and back every day. Working in an office can also lead to grab-and-go breakfasts and/or lunches as opposed to eating something that you prepared yourself.
