Hege Subbed Out Early I just talked to one of my friends who is there at SAS Stadium and found out the bad news that Hege was taken out because of injury. Her right knee was being examined while she was down on the field, but at least she was able to walk off the field under her own power. If I am not mistaken this is the first time in her WUSA career that Hege is missing any playing time because of injury.
Eek... Hege has my utmost respect and I wish her a smooth healing process..and a speedy one. (Now..are we really surprised Kate was on the "giving" end? .. Afterall she took Brandi into the boards last June and received a yellow )
Meinert's Goal I asked about Maren Meinert's goal and according to my friend who is there at SAS Stadium, Meinert scored directly off her corner kick. With weapons like Meinert and Lilly, I wonder why Boston went almost exclusively to the short corner last week against Atlanta?
Condition Of Slaton I asked my friend about Danielle getting subbed out so early and was told that she just didn't look very good today. Hopefully her knee isn't still causing her a lot of pain.

You Are Very Welcome As always, I really appreciate your positive feedback. On a sad note, "Inside Soccer" went off the radio this week so I'm going through some withdrawal pains after being a regular listener/contributor for the past 15 months.
Switching to All Internet Format I don't want to give you the false impression that "Inside Soccer" is gone for good. The three Brians are switching to an all internet format, but for those of us who prefer the radio over the internet especially on Saturday afternoons, this will take some getting used to.
Unofficial Halftime Stats Boston not only leads 2-0, but the Breakers also have a 4-0 shots on goal lead, with Meinert leading the way with 3. The Courage unofficially have taken only 5 shots with Unni having 2 of the 5 total shots. Birgit and Fotop also have one shot apiece as does Brooke O'Hanley.
Things be tough during this time.... the energy and enthusiasm of the three Brians was truly to be commended... as is their insight, their ingeniousness, and their creativity.... They bring a perspective rarely experienced to the casual listener..... one for which I am grateful to have experienced. Meinert took 4 of the 6 corners for Boston and I believe that Lilly took the other two. Mienert is probably taking all of the corners with her right foot while Lilly is taking hers with her left foot.
