L'OM enregistre le retour de Kaboré et de Carrasso. Cana est suspendu, Rodriguez est forfait, tandis que Grandin et Akalé ne sont pas qualifiés en coupe de l'Uefa. Gardiens : Mandanda, Carrasso Défenseurs : Bonnart, Taiwo, Krupoviesa, Faty, Givet, Zubar Milieux : Cheyrou, M'Bami, Kaboré, Oruma, Nasri, Ziani, Zenden, Valbuena Attaquants : Cissé, Niang, Ayew
I would try to speculate what the lineup will be but I really have no idea. Gerets doesnt seem to have a consistant formation and lineup. The only concern would be that they'd be without Cana and Rodriguez who are 2 of their best defenders. Since Niang was rested vs Auxerre I'd imagine he and Cisse will play together. I dont even know if they will be "trying" to win this match since Diouf said the league and french cup are more important. That leads me to believe that the best attacking lineup will not be put out there.
I'll be a good sport and post the lineups, despite the likely reality that I'll be rooting against the home team. Olympique de Marseille: 30 Mandanda 24 Bonnart - 5 Faty - 32 Givet - 3 Taiwo 17 M'Bami - 7 Cheyrou 28 Valbuena - 22 Nasri - 11 Niang 9 Cissé Zenit: 8 Pogerbnyak 20 Faizulin - 20 Arshavin 88 Gorshkov - 18 Zyryanov - 44 Tymoschuk 5 Kim Dong-Jin - 4 Krizanac - 22 Anyukov - 25 Ricksen 16 Malafeev
Sopcast 22947 was working as of a few minutes ago, though it appears it's offline now. Try 22948 or 36285.
I don't know, earlier in this season he was very effective as the lone striker when Cissé was off form. Today, though, he's on the wing.
Yeah I think I'd prefer Ziani on the wing instead but Niang cant play lone striker anymore because he and Cisse both need to be out there so I guess there's not a lot of other places to put him.
Yes, though to be quite fair, l'OM have had several opportunities to score, including Niang hitting the post on a header after a dead ball situation. Valbuena's been killed almost twice by the Russians (a yellow card was given by the ref on both occasions). Cissé also almost had a penalty when he went down in the box, but it wasn't given. Of course, the stream I'm on is fairly biased for the home side, so what I've been reporting is not entirely objective. Though yes, the OM class is showing in this one thus far, despite not scoring yet.
This is off topic but Bayren Munich crushed Anderlecht and you can't help but wonder how much better Bordeaux would have done.
Faty is injured. They don't know exactly how bad is his injury. Kim Dong-Jin is having a hard time to deal with Valbuena.
Well, they likely would not have allowed 5 goals at home, but to be fair, it's hard to see them beating Bayern. Oh, and apparently Faty was in pain, not quite certain what happened to cause the injury, though Zubar is competent enough to replace him, I think.
Hopefully they can continue to play well in the second half. I have a bad feeling about what seems to be a bit of a missed chance at getting an extra goal or two.
Mamadou!! After a little of passing and hesitation in the box, Niang gets the rebound of a deflected shot, and hits it off the inside of the far post and in. 2-0.
Cisse!!! That was just great passing and movement on that break, and a well placed, powerful shot. Wow. 3-0.
