47' RED CARD for PSG!! Right before the break, Diane puts in a stupid late tackle and recieves his second yellow.

    WHAT AN IDIOT!!
in the grand scheme of things, PSG desperately need to win in order to advance. Now reduced to ten, the already low chances of winning are slipping away quickly

start of the second half with some changes:
Remplacement de Sylvain Armand par Albert Baning
    what?
Was Armand that bad that they needed to put Baning the forgotten in his place? :(

yea i don't understand it either. He was playing well from what I gathered (although the source is commentary, so I wouldn't infer too much), and he's one of the most committed players on the squad. So we would be playing with three at back? Or is Drame moving back to the defense. If so, I place more faith in Sylvain.

    76' Rodrigo on for Hellebuyck

76' Pauleta clears the ball off the line when Landreau was clearly beaten.

meanwhile, the Nancy-Feyenoord game has gone to hell, due to the dutch hooligans, who've gone berserk, started beating up the cops, the nancy boys (lol), then breaking the whole stands, and throw them down to the field.
And they have now stopped the game, because the cops used those tear gas bombs on the dutch, but the problem is they used too much and it spread to the field, so the players can't play, lol
Nancy wins 3-0, good for them, this is a great year for them

    Mlada Boleslav 0-0 PSG

surprise, surpise... PSG still on bottom with 2 points. They now need a win against Panathinaikos (top with 7 points) in order to advance. Given the current form of the team, this is a very big demand even though the game will be at the Parc des Princes.

Well! Well! Well! Another bad performance by PSG and another waste of two hours from my life by PSG. A stupid mistake by Diane by getting a second yellow card right before halftime. Dammn! And also another thing. Could anybody else put the friggin' ball into the net besides Pauleta. The opposition knows that Pauleta is the only scoring threat for PSG. PSG could not even score a goal against this squad. This team isn't Sparta Praha or Slavia Praha. Just a score a damn goal against this team!!

my czech friend is giving psg a whole lot of shit right now :/

Lacombe must go, his coaching decisions were absolutely bizarre. Why sit Rothen and take out Armand? Why play Drame at the center of the park. The 10 man situation only emphasized the previous status quo that PSG could not get anything going.

well possibly the sadest few weeks in psg history...

and however bad their performance may be, i would do anything to be in auteuil this weekend screaming my head off...

our club has been ridiculized all over the media (both in france and abroad)... something will have to be done about certain psg fans... lets just hope for the best...

Is english your first language? I'm just curious.

Nationals of Israel are not Jews (religious affiliation) nor Israelites (biblical/historical reference). They're called Israelis.

To compare nationals of france are not Christians (religious affiliation) nor Gauls (historical reference). They're called French

I know we are all dissapointed with the players' performances, but to do that is absolutely disgusting.

Thank you, Allez Lyonnais. I am really shocked about this match. It was a struggle to contain myself while I was at my cubicle at work listening to this match. I expected a massive struggle to win this match. I thought they would be lucky to win it with 2-0 scoreline. AND WHO STARTED THIS BLOWOUT? THE MAN, PAULETA!!! I know that Panathinaikos did not put their strong side for this match since they already qualified. But we PSG fans knew that this squad had hard times in beating the scrubs of Ligue 1 (Valenciennes, Lorient, etc.). Even Kalou woke up for this match by scoring two goals. The defense was solid for a change. This is what happens when a team plays hard for a FULL 90 MINUTES WITH TOTAL COMMITMENT AND CONCENTRATION. I want this type of effort against Nice on Sunday. Pauleta has to continue to yell at his teammates and demand another total performance. It is the only way to salvage this season and maybe climb up the table and get another European spot.

PARIS EST MAGIQUE!!! I better see it!

    I'm disappointed :(
I wanted a hat trick by Pauleta :D

This is a great victory that will finally put us on the right path before the important game against Nice.

But.... I do have some things to say. While Kalou hitting the post and then his header going out isn't that worrisome, at least was spectacular, I was pissed as hell for Rodriguez who, alone against the goalie, sends the ball flying to the stands. Honestly, he can't pass, he can't score, I still like him but eventually we might have to look elsewhere. Then Yepes did a couple of bad calls in the defense, luckily Landreau was there to save us a few times.

And now we are 2nd of the group. But I'm not sure if that's as good as we might think, because while the 1st plays against the 3rd of the group stages, the second place team will be drawn against one of the Champions League teams, and of course, the biggest scarecrow of all, Werder Bremen.
As long as we can avoid them, I think it should be good.

Here's what I'm thinking in the 55th min. as I watch thanks to my Setanta subscription...

If we keep a clean sheet, this has an opportunity to be a turning point. If it ends up 4-3 or something worse, it will be an extension of the foul direction in which we were heading...

I think that it has the opportunity to be a turning point.

    We'll see.

i was following the yahoo.fr feed (which is really bad btw, but low tech) at my internship and when they posted in one fell swoop the last three goals, I jumped up and slammed the table too loudly and got some very unpleasant looks.

    WAHOO!

Despite the fact that Pana had already qualified, that they gave up after a bit, like mel brennan, I think this match will do wonders for the team!

Great to see, but Mel Brennan signature link article about PSG truly sums it up.

PSG have so much work to do to make this club successful. This win and advancing clearly is a step in the right direction.

The draw will be tomorrow, an hour after the much more interesting Champions League draw.

Since we qualified in second place, this means we will face one of the Champions League teams, basically it can be:
-Werder Bremen [avoid at all cost]
    -Spartak Moskva [doable]
-Shaktar Donetsk [beware, best team in Ukraine with some big investments being made]
-Steaua Bucharest [History is on our side, as long as Fournier isn't playing :D]
    -Benfica [avoid]
    -CSKA Moskva [bad memories]
    -AEK Athens [doable]

Personally, I think that Spartak, Steaua and Shaktar are our best bets, as long as the players beware of any bad surprises from those emerging teams.
CSKA, Benfica and Werder are the teams to avoid, while for AEK, if we can beat them like we beat Panathinaikos, then why not.
